TAMPA, FL—Sarah Thomas, the first female referee to officiate in a Super Bowl, threw a flag on a play in the second quarter but refused to say what was wrong.
"Penalty, on the offense -- you know what, never mind. It's fine," she said after throwing a flag on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
"Wait -- what'd I do wrong?" asked Tom Brady indignantly.
"Nothing. I said it was fine," she said, folding her arms.
"It doesn't seem like it's fine. You threw a flag!" Brady responded.
She shrugged and turned away. "No, it's totally fine. Go and play football with your friends. It's fine."
Play proceeded without any consequences, though she glared bitterly at Brady throughout the next few plays.
Meanwhile, the male referees displayed their toxic masculinity by awarding extra yards for players who exhibited unnecessary roughness and also giving them a manly chest bump and a "right on, bro."
You win the internet.
Ma’am-splaining.
to all husbands..if your wife ever says..”fine..do what ever you want”...what ever you do...DONT GO DO WHAT EVER YOU WANT!...
LOL!
-Lady Referee.
When the wife says that, you’re not being asked to volunteer. You’re being voluntold.
It’s most likely from something he did years ago...
The female referee did make a mistake on a call in the SB.
There was a pass thrown that hit the KC receiver in his hand, that happened to be flat on the ground, and the ball bounced up off his hand and was intercepted. Blondy called it an incomplete pass which appeared to be a wrong call to me.
Oh he KNOWS what he did!
I was just thinking it would have been better if the response was written:
“What did I do?”
“You KNOW what you DID!”
“You remember that time 2 weeks ago when you...”
LOL!!!
I like that comic better than the Babylon Bee article.
That’s probably how ridiculous football seems to someone who has never seen it before; strange attempts to move one way but doing it by moving other directions, and lots of shoving and tackling that appear quite violent but start and stop so frequently
Now that’s funny and truthful.
Caught me! I MUST see where a post comes from before i read it. That BB is out to get me. It seemed totally believable!
Well, tell ya what it’s the only way I survived. Fifteen years between wives one and two. Had several live in girlfriends. Now married for the third and final time. After number one I made ghe decision that life is too short. I am a kind and generous person according to those that know me. My problem is a very low BS tolerance level. Wife no. 3 is the same way, limited BS tolerance level. She tells me to go do what I want she knows that is exactly what I’d do. Wanna be happy for the rest of your life? Find yourself a no BS woman. If you can hack it. No BS is a two-way street.
As a woman, I have the right to say, “Well if you don’t know, I’m certainly not going to tell you!”
It’s when she says “No Problem” that it’s a problem.
Last time I heard that phrase, it was the last thing I heard for 3 years.
Then she came asking for forgiveness and admitted the whole thing was her fault.
LOL! So very true.
Honestly, if I were a young man, I’d have to seriously consider whether or not to get married. It seems like the deck is stacked against you and you’ll lose everything in the divorce.
