A British man said he spent about $400 to have a veterinarian examine his dog's limp, but it turned out the canine was just imitating his owner, who had a broken ankle.
Russell Jones of London said he noticed after his ankle was broken that his dog, Billy, was keeping one of his front paws raised while walking.
Jones posted a video to Facebook showing the dog hopping next to him as he walks with the use of crutches.
Jones said he spent about $400 to have a veterinarian examine Billy and take X-rays of his apparently injured leg, but the medical professional was unable to find anything wrong.
The veterinarian told Jones his dog was imitating the way he walks with his broken ankle. Jones said Billy had been limping since the day after his ankle injury.
He wasn’t just faking. He was making fun of you. Now he will chew up money to make fun of you.
Now that is funny! He should name the dog “Cheetah”, as in
MOnkey see, Monkey do.
The dog was mocking him. Which brings to mind the “accident.” I suspect the dog.
That's funny!
BTW: Does anyone here have an idea why my dog is constantly "scooting" his butt on my living room carpe... Oh, never mind! Now I get it!
Regards,
Years ago I had a neighbor who’s dog limped. The neighbor was quite worried and concerned. Nothing seemed wrong, but still the poor little doggie limped. How sad. Even lots of love and attention - the front left paw was not working
Until it did work. It seems the little puppy started to limp on the right paw instead of the left. She forgot which paw was hurting. Turns out she was faking just to get all that love and attention.
Some masters train better than others.
Actually, lameness in joints at different time periods can be an indicator of polyarthritis caused an autoimmune disorder. My dog has sterile nodular panniculitis which is an autoimmune disorder. On her last flareup, she would limp on one leg, then on the next day limp on the other. Treatment is steroids.
Ya made a bitter old man smile.
Good on ya!
That is too funny (and cute)!
Later
When I was growing up, the family dog every once in a while would fake a limp just to see the veterinarian that she adored.
As soon as she saw him, she would run to him just to get some loving, tail wagging and going crazy. She’d be good for a while after that.
