A Supreme Court clerk reports that shouting and conflict between the justices of the nation's highest court occurred on Friday, Dec. 11, as the court was deciding to reject a Texas lawsuit challenging presidential election results in four key swing states.

5-4 decisions aren't as decisive sounding as say 14-4. The later shows a "clear majority" of SCOTUS is in favor of "insert topic here".

The Supreme Court claiming it has no jurisdiction over a suit between states in this case was pure political cowardice. If the Supreme Court can’t hear a case joined by 20(!!) State DA’s, in a time of crisis - who does have the power to hear it??? By their craven punting of this issue, the court has made an ass of themselves and has lost a lot of credibility.
We should also note also that all 3 of Trump’s SCOTUS nominees, voted to deny the Supreme Court has “original jurisdiction” in this case. Trump was again stabbed in the back by his own choices.
