On Dec. 21, humans can witness something not seen in nearly 800 years.

That’s right, during the upcoming winter solstice, Jupiter and Saturn will line up to create what is known as the “Christmas Star” or “Star of Bethlehem “Alignments between these two planets are rather rare, occurring once every 20 years or so, but this conjunction is exceptionally rare because of how close the planets will appear to be to one another,” Patrick Hartigan, astronomer at Rice University, told Forbes. “You’d have to go all the way back to just before dawn on March 4, 1226, to see a closer alignment between these objects visible in the night sky.”

Genghis rose to power for a myriad of reasons and a warm period is always the time to do it. Cold is the real killer of people and empires.

Don’t wonder.

Just enjoy the beautiful sights God gives us and pray.

There are no Clues on when he’s coming.

He will come like a thief in the night.

And you will know not the hour nor the day.

Jesus didn’t say “You will know not the hour nor the day..but look for clues!!” :)

Why does every religious person around here take everything Jesus says as truth Except these words!! :)

Life is a BLINK.

No one should concern themselves with “end times”.

It will take care of itself.

Have a good night :)

But a new study in the journal Scientific Reports looked at a different kind of record to solve the mystery of the horde’s abrupt exit from central Europe: tree rings.

This wooden chronicle revealed that a cold and wet period set in for years, leading "to reduced pastureland and decreased mobility, as well as hampering the military effectiveness of the Mongol cavalry", according to a press release.

Who knew !!!

[[[800 years ago was also when Genghis Khan was at the height of his power. He died one year later in 1227 from old age, which was very rare for a conqueror. The right in the US could well make use of his tactical genius of achieving victory while almost always being vastly outnumbered.]]]

I thank him for all the beautiful red-headed Irish girls with epicanthic folds.

How are we to observe this while we’re all cowering under our beds, masks on, praying that we don’t die from the Covid? We can’t be going OUTSIDE! We cannot leave our THRESHOLD! ;)

Beau and I put it on the calendar this morning to make sure we’re out ‘observing’ it on December 21st. :)

In the Carson Valley it is in the SW just after sunset then it sinks over Jobs Peak. Should have a good look on the 21st.

If’n this ain’t the spitting image of the end times, I have this bridge in Brooklyn you might be interested. .. cheap.

Like a thieve in the night.. a graveyard shift ballot counter in Georgia, stealing in plain view what so many hold so preciously.

Rare events aren’t as rare as they used to be. But this is pretty cool. We’re talking of times not that far from the Dark Ages. We’re headed back into Dark Ages. There are no coincidences some wisemen say.

That star brought us this;
On This “Little Christmas”
January 6th from my The First Book Of Moses poetry page

On This “Little Christmas”
January 6th

Once Upon a Time and not too long ago
The Twelfth Night Of Christmas
was celebrated with a ball
From the Day of Babes Birth
and the 11 thereafter
kith and kin were paid a visit
and friends from far and near
once were paid a call
So on this day I pray in the spirit that this date recalls
Let the gift of homage of kings gain
in the spirit of the days this season yet remain
ere it wane
Be thine Blessings Great
and misfortunes thee none befall

This poem is an abbreviated version from my websites poetry page which shows how the Christmas season was observed by Catholics in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood during depression times and WWII.The page also lists the differences from traditional Roman Catholic Christmas observance and the present after Vatican 2.Which eliminated a period of mortification during the advent period of fast and abstinence or reducing emphasis on observing feast days such as Immaculate Conception December 8th and the 12th day of Christmas known as the Epiphany January 6th.Resulting in listing Epiphany no longer on most calendars because of the decision to observe Epiphany to a Sunday following Christmas the 25th and New Years which was then known as the feast of Circumcision later named The Presentation when Jesus was presented in the Temple .

Suprised? I will listen to anything. My tastes are incredibly eclectic . I have one rule: if I hear it and I like it, I like it. That simple.

A star lit the sky at the first coming of Jesus Christ, why not another one at His coming for the church.

What a lovely way to express it.

Here, too. My tastes run from heavy metal to New York jazz to chamber music. My father was an operatic tenor who sang at the Met back in the late 50’s and was a professional acoustic guitarist. I learned stage and equipment setups from him. I was also his local roadie who kept his guitars tuned and ran the sound board for him. I was never determined or talented enough to try and make a career of it, but I also played guitar, had four years of high school choral training, and learned to read music when I played trumpet in my grade school years. I was exposed to everything from bluegrass to the likes of Sergio Mendez in my youth, and I appreciate now because it’s opened a wide, deep palette of musical colors I enjoy.
