I will risk being called an utter fool but I speculate — if you really want to argue your case before the Supreme Court, isn’t it somewhat useful to lose in the lower courts, so that you can appeal your way up?
I believe the author is from Minnesota.
Yes, it’s a big F’up.
As a side note:
As a client you should always review everything in the document and verify it is right before signing it. Paralegals copy and paste from other cases and stray stuff may show up on your case filings. It shouldn’t..but it does.
So far... a fuster-cluck.
Worse than expected. Paragraph 10 has “Antium” instead of correctly: Antrim County, Michigan.
Ugh. If true, that’s pathetic.
Trump’s lawyers have played the PR game. Hopefully that doesn’t take precedent over the legal issues.
I’ve wondered how they can manage the legal effort while spending all the camera time.
Don’t take me wrong - I’m rooting for them!
This was pointed out last night by Freeper MKNIT20, and he had already emailed the firm/person that did the afidavit.
I want to know why Barr paid McConnell a visit last week. McConnell then went the the senate floor and said the NSA saw no foreign election interference. Why qualify foreign interference? Something odd about that.
They outlined a great case today to win based on evidence in hand.
Other bigger plays like the Dominion hacking are being developed.
SCOTUS has easy calls doe Trump in PA and GA.
The better question is why do we no longer have a free press in the United States and what can be done to create more Newsmax platforms or to buy a network?
Should international companies be able to own media that amounts to foreign interference in our elections?
Should big tech be able to censor Americans and not be deemed publishers?
But yeah. Let’s get the SCOTUS win and move on.
My hope is Justice Thomas writes it. Ultimate payback.
Jones Day and Porter Wright, the two big law firms that quit, had all the worker bee lawyers who would be double-checking this stuff. Now we have a small handful of lawyers trying to manage 20+ cases with tight deadlines. This kind of thing is bound to happen.
You are not supposed to post such opinions here. Only sunshine, rainbows and Kraken.
Contrast this spectacle with GW Bush’s army of lawyers in Florida, led by Ted Olsen. 2020 is a clown show. The idea that the 2 Wayne County canvassing board Republicans were left alone, with only the Dem lawyer advising them they had to vote to cert? Unthinkable. Listing incorrect counties in a court filing? No lawyers on the ground at recounts, already holding court orders? Team Trump lawyers are being swatted away like flies, even by Trump appointed Judges.
I was wondering when the armchair quarterbacks would show up.
Who is this loser? A nobody, compared to Trump's legal team. And whoever posed this is pathetic. Go root for Biden and the cheaters, since that's what you must admire.
Boiokmarking the whole thread.
I agree. As I wrote in another post, it is bothersome that they drop the Michigan lawsuit today, thinking that just because the canvassers recanted, Michigan would stop the certification of the vote. That does not appear to be the case.
Also, making ridiculous mistakes like including the wrong city under the wrong state really makes them look incompetent, to the extent that one would wonder what else is wrong with the complaint.
But the worst part of this press conference today was when the media asked where the FBI was. Embarrassingly, Rudy and the rest of the team just kept saying yeah where are they, where is Bill Barr?? It is likely that none of us have direct access to Bill Barr, Christopher Wray or the FBI, but their client is the POTUS, who they all report to! And clearly it is their jobs to investigate such corruption. It really made Rudy et al look weak.
rather easy to back seat drive when you have no clue what they know and how they decided to play this. I am betting all will be good.
Answer. No. It sure seems they don’t know what they are doing.
To answer your question, no they don’t. They keep going on TV announcing they have tons of evidence, but the alleged evidence doesn’t seem to be making its way into court filings.
They have filed in Pennsylvania that they are not alleging that voter fraud occurred, only that fraud might have occurred. That is not going to convince people to disenfranchise millions of voters.
They have withdrawn their Michigan lawsuit.
Georgia is going to certify their results.
I voted for Trump twice, and was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt about voter fraud, but if they have any evidence they need to release it -— and should have already. And if they don’t have, they should stop muddying the waters. We don’t always win, but we should still support our Democratic Republic which includes allowing voters to decide which electors the states should appoint.
