Social Security Account Suspended? Robocall from a GA#(VANITY)

This morning, I received two robocalls from a Georgia number. The recording, a female voice with an oddly foreign, non-southron accent, said my SS account has been suspended and to call a phone number immediately.
IMO, clearly a scam call. I believe the SS Admin would contact me by mail if there were any problems, not by phone.

Yes I agree, ignore it. If you are really concerned though, call your local SSA office and ask them about it.

Scam, of course - we get calls from Apple, Microsoft and Marriott Hotels, all phony.

Its a scam. Another scam call I’ve gotten recently involved someone saying the electric would be cut off.

It’s a SCAM but hey why not have some fun with it, start searching for a valid SS# of one of your Local Politicians, then call back and pretend to be them.
