If complaining is so awful, why is it so prevalent? It turns out that complaining has captured the attention of many of my colleagues. There is a growing body of research addressing complaining: what it is and when and why it happens. To begin with, complaining is simply expressing dissatisfaction. This usually happens verbally, as in the case of two people on a date commenting on the awful dinner they have been served. For consumers, it can happen through online feedback forms or customer service counters—but consumer complaints are a separate matter.

Psychologists are idiots, there, I’m done complaining.
You can’t quit FR. My gripes, complaints and rants need read. They need read real bad. Otherwise they’ll be like a tree falling in the forest and nobody around.
You must care or you wouldn’t have posted it.
And I care too. The article says complainers bring down the people they complain to. Likely with some intention of doing so.
Regardless of what steps R leaders take or don’t take, some here complain.

An Angry White Conservative like myself, has no empathy and doesn’t give a rats ass if you destroy your life with bad decisions, just don’t ask for me to pay for it. Tomorrow will be a Brand new day, don’t sweat the small stuff.
From my vantage point, more people complain about what I’m doing, not doing or thinking of doing. I rather enjoy occupying space in their head.

Actually, this was a response to a post someone else made that I figured deserved its own thread. The article is interesting in its own right.
I don’t care if they sit on the thread and bitch.
I tell the complainers to drag their rear ends outside and behold the wonders of nature.
It seems to work.
1) Anyone needing a ride to the polls should have one, even those that are not interested. Bribe them with a party/get together afterwards. 2) No legitimate nominee should lack for funding. 3) The extended time between elections should spent for outreach. That plus eligibility verification.

Personally, I think that what any group of fully informed, competent, consenting adults does amongst its members is their business. Don’t try to make me pay for it, approve of it, celebrate it or engage in any other form of involuntary participation.
