It's difficult to out-Oz Dr. Oz, America's Quack, who has raked in giant piles of money by promoting pseudoscience on his TV show. But at least one person comes perilously close: Dr. Mark Hyman.
Hyman is the "Dr. Oz" of nutrition. He embraces legitimate science if and only if it suits his bottom line. Otherwise, he's promoting junk science and magical thinking. To get an idea of the sort of nonsense that he spews, his website features an interview with the Food Babe, as well as his infuriatingly stupid quote, "Food isn't like medicine, it is medicine." The comma splice just makes me that much angrier.

But he’s 100% correct. Everybody that has died, ate food. Coincidence? I think not.
These corporate shills, or whoever is paying them, are totally wrong.
I have heard and read Dr. Hyman’s food and diet philosophies and completely agree with him.
And doesn’t he have an affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic?
Are they calling the Cleveland Clinic a sham?
Franken-food IS killing people - it’s not real food! Bad fats, HFCS, the list goes on.

But on that point, I heard a quack radio-pharmacist on some show stating that Herman Cain probably just had irritable bowel syndrome from eating grain. Yeah, his oncologist was just faking removing a tumor from his intestine.

Conventional MDs with anger management problems need to seek professional help, and perhaps a different profession.

Every organization that tries to counter pseudo-science is labeled a corporate shill. Nope, Hyman is a snake oil salesman, as is Dr. Oz.
The AMA comes out with attacks on nutritionist and vitamin advocates regularly. It’s bad for the medical industry if you are healthy. They are just protecting their rice bowls.
It’s not just food that is killing people. Every single person who consumed the dangerous chemicals H2O and O2 have died or is in the process of dying. Every single one.
And when analyzed chemically, high fructose corn syrup is basically honey …Oh boy. What does Mr. Berezow mean by “analyzed chemically”? Destructively analyzed by putting through a HPLC? Even table sugar can be deemed “basically honey” that way. If one is going to criticize someone, empty rhetoric (almost as bad as the “Holocaust” rhetoric on the part of the critiqued person) is not the way to do it.
It’s hard to argue against “food is medicine”. If we don’t get a good balance of proteins, vitamins, minerals etc we will develop various diseases.
But these days everything, including science, is political. Or, money-making schemes but that goes back way before the traveling snake oil horse & buggy salesmen. And continues today with the FDA. Money and politics, the establishment. The food pyramid. The various generic potential covid treatments that have been suppressed or poorly studied because there is no money in proving a generic cheap drug will help people survive the virus. You name it.
They’re trying to make that word lose it’s meaning like every other word they overuse, misuse and screw up.
But some of those that drank alcohol, while eating food, outlived those who just ate food. I think it must have been the food that finally killed them. 8>)
