The unhappiest place on earth? Disney attacks California Gov. Newsom's 'arbitrary' COVID guidelines that will keep Disneyland 'shuttered for the foreseeable future' after state announced further delays to reopening large theme parks

Disney has attacked California Governor Newsom for his 'arbitrary' COVID guidelines that will keep Disneyland 'shuttered for the foreseeable future', after the state announced further delays to reopening large theme parks Tuesday.

Disneyland Resort's President Ken Potrock blasted state officials in a statement Tuesday saying the reopening guidelines are 'unworkable' and will force 'thousands more people out of work'.

The outrage came after the state released protocols for reopening California theme parks Tuesday, revealing it will still be several weeks before Disneyland in Anaheim, California, can start welcoming guests back to the so-called 'Happiest Place on Earth'.

Tensions have been building between the amusement park giant and Newsom as the state continued to keep theme parks shuttered.

Disney CEO Bob Iger resigned from Newsom's COVID-19 economic task force earlier this month as the company announced it had to lay off 28,000 employees across its parks, experiences and products division.

If i feel sympathy for anyone, its only the low level service workers at Disney who will be out of work.

Socialist Democrats are petty tyrants and I think they really enjoy the pain and suffering they are causing all businesses in California both big and small.

Before Covid they could only dream of having this much power over people and businesses. This is way more effective then man made climate change was in changing our society to match their socialist utopia.

Everybody ragging on Disney, and for good reason...........but what about the tens of thousands of Disney employees that are in no way responsible for their employers reprehensible activities? Now add to them the tens of thousands of employees of the support companies and food sources and you have a whole lot of damage that you who are not affected seem to not give a damn about.................kind a like democrats.

I bet the Disney employees and others affected by Noisome's fascist and dicktatorial orders were among the first to sign the recall petitions for the asshat.

That $30 in 1959 would equal $268 today.

I also feel sorry for the employees. But on the bright side, they won’t have to work eight hours a day with a constant smile on their face.

Walt Disney would be spinning in his grave at what people have done to his creation. And not just “gay days.”

Newsom is an idiot. About to bankrupt an American treasure. For no good reason.

People are outside, FGS! In the sunshine and heat! Covid doesn’t like those things.

And Covid sucks. It has taken away everything fun in life.
