Big Cat Rescue CEO Carole Baskin is set to make her primetime debut on Monday's new episode of Dancing With the Stars, but the family of her missing ex-husband, Don Lewis, are throwing a damper on the event. Becoming a worldwide superstar overnight with the release of the Netflix documentary Tiger King earlier this year, Baskin has been the subject of great controversy since being introduced to the world. It is believed by many viewers of the series that Baskin is somehow behind Lewis' disappearance, but as of now, there's no evidence to suggest that she was involved.
Still hoping to learn the truth about what happened to Lewis, his family filed a new lawsuit against Carole Baskin just last month. The suit, filed by Lewis' three surviving daughters, specifically seeks to have Baskin forced to formally testify on the record everything she knows about what might have happened with her ex-husband. Additionally, the family has also announced a reward of $100,000 for anyone who comes forward with new information that will help solve the case.
Now, the feud between Baskin and the Lewis family is about to get even more tense. Learning about Baskin's Dancing with the Stars debut, the Lewis family was reportedly unhappy with the potential distraction the TV series may bring to their lawsuit against the Tiger King star. Referring to the decision by the show's producers to include Baskin as "grossly insensitive," the family reportedly feels that Baskin competing in the dancing competition series undermines the investigation into Don's whereabouts.

I’m so out of the loop that none of these names mean anything to me. But, boy, we have a weird world of interlocking pop culture and potential crime and the lust for wealth and fame. It all seems very twisted at the top.
I’m surprised all of the contestants aren’t black, as they replaced the two white hosts with a black woman for no reason besides black supremacy.
Finally! Something important to replace the eviction fraud in the news cycle!
I thought Tara Barks did a horrible job! I was surprised to be honest. Shes hosted so many shows. But shes not meant for dancing with the stars.
Supposed to be Banks.
And it’s supposed to be Tyra.
Yieks! Totally screwed up the entire name.
Will they get OJ for next season?
LOL
Anyone, who has worked or been part of the big cat and/or zoological communities over the past quarter-century knows what kind of person Carole F*in Baskin is, but she has always been made of teflon. People underestimate her intelligence and cunning strictly at their own peril.
Case in point: She was one of the first and earliest to truly *grok* the sheer power and possibilities for media saturation via YouTube, and was light-years ahead of anyone else in the industry (and still remains so). This is why any YouTube search involving any wild cat-related terminology will bring up Big Cat Rescue videos as the top results in your “recommended for you” list.
My prediction in all of this is that, eventually, certain people are going to be paid off and/or intimidated/threatened, and it will all go away, as it always does, and Carole will go right back to being the Animal “Rights” heroine she has always portrayed herself as (and which her never-sleeping, online Pinkerton Army of trolls and shills mercilessly enforce by riding to her rescue whenever she gets criticised anywhere online).
RAH fan?
We had to watch DWTS just to see how it went without Tom and Erin totally bombed. Banks kept looking down like she was reading cue cards or something and her whole demeanor was just plain awful. I wonder how many viewers they had and how many will return next week. We won’t.
You should watch Tiger King-talk about crazy people. I do believe Carol had her husband fed to the Tigers.
Yes.
