My son purchased as a gift to me a concealed carry belt. This is a belt that you wear to carry your concealed holster.
It is a nice belt.
It was when I picked up the belt that I noticed an item attached to the belt wrapping.
The item is a BLM silicone wristband.
It had BLM on one side and Black Lives Matter on the other side.
As you can imagine, I was stunned and offended.
It was clear, someone at Amazon deliberately sent me a BLM wristband because the much smaller BLM packaging (plastic bag) was physically attached to the belt wrapping--no mistake there.
Why me? Why was I selected to receive this unsolicited Amazon product?
To me, I was sent this item because I had a concealed carry belt coming my way, thereby, demonstrating to some BLM activist at Amazon I was either pro-law enforcement, a police officer or a legally armed pro-Second Amendment kind of guy.
I called Amazon customer service and the representative I spoke with was shocked.
She assured me there is no way Amazon would ever send unsolicited political propaganda like that because if they did so, Amazon would lose all sorts of customers and suffer ghastly negative exposure.
The representative was truly remorseful and assured me that my request to send this incident up the chain to the highest levels would be done straightaway and efforts would be taken to identify the person who packed the items.
Because the items are Amazon items, there should be an electronic trail identifying who shipped the items. Im an older guy and am pretty good at detecting insincere apologies, and this Amazon representative was truly remorseful over the incident (and absolutely offended as well).
Anyone else out there receive an unsolicited BLM propaganda item?
Do a follow-up.
My wife got a prescription online and they sent a BLM magnet in the package.
My very first thought is that some liberal twit working at an Amazon warehouse decided to put that in your box, guessing that a concealed carry belt order was coming from a Conservative.
Glad you called and told them about it. They may be able to trace exactly who packed the order.
Use it for target practice and send it to your local blm chapter.
Not that I doubt Bozo would support this but have you made sure it was an intentional Amazon move? Sometimes items are simply fulfilled by Amazon or a warehouse worker might have taken his own initiative.
You can always tape it to your toilet flusher
Try to look on the bright side. Keep it with you when outside the home, in case you’re confronted with more “peaceful protesters” than you have ammo for!
Did you send it back?
in my alphabet soup.
but I’m paranoid lately
Send back an envelope of ashes with a note that reads, no thanks and that it’s been sterilized it as precaution.
Request a return label.
This is worrisome for what else are leftists putting in packages of people they judge negatively. ??
Amazon lies.
Someone should start a thread...” 101 things to do with a BLM wrist thingy”
I’ll start... 1) Use it to castrate a bull.
Take it before cameras, local news.
Send it back on their dime with a little something from the litterbox.
Probably added to your order by someone working in one of Amazon’s many fulfillment centers. The staffer probably stole a handful of wristbands and popped one into any box he thought was going to someone whose views he disapproved of. There are probably BLM and Antifa sympathizers all over the country in similar order-fulfillment jobs doing the same thing. At least they didn’t spit on your merchandise.
Wife sprays every package and piece of mail with Lysol since this virus and I make fun of her every so often. Maybe I shouldn’t....
I would cancel my account over something like that. I recently surprised my husband with some cookies through amazon, but they came from Denmark. No surprise propaganda in the box.
Is there an annotation on the invoice that indicates who filled it?
