Medical Journal Suggests Loss of Employment for Any Person Who Refuses to Take COVID-19 Vaccine

An article in the New England Journal of Medicine has suggested that “substantive penalties” be used to enforce compliance in taking the upcoming COVID-19 vaccine, including loss of employment.

The journal published an article on June 26 titled, “Ensuring Uptake of Vaccines against SARS-CoV-2.” They suggested that the suspension of employment would be a less coercive manner of enforcing vaccine compliance than fines or other criminal penalties.

The report states that “state mandates should not be structured as compulsory vaccination (absolute requirements); instead, noncompliance should incur a penalty.”

Went to one of my doctors this week. She said if Bill Gates had anything to do with the vaccine, she would not be taking it. I didn’t pry it out of her either.

Medical authorities have always tended towards totalitarianism. Nothing new here.

Well, they’re just taking the Microsoft approach now. The customers are the beta testers!

“Might want to actually find a vaccine first before you try to force everyone to take it.’
You will be forced to take the vaccine even if there isn’t one.

Couldn’t see that one coming, could we?

And we won’t see the Maskafarians who advocate mask control in threads like this. This is their Brave New World and they own it all.

The authors of the article for the journal...

Michelle M. Mello, J.D., Ph.D., Ross D. Silverman, J.D., M.P.H., and Saad B. Omer, M.B., B.S., M.P.H., Ph.D.

Those three are very political animals.

“Loss of jobs in a free society?”

And in that free society, a private company can place conditions on employment.

Depends on the job. Healthcare workers, particularly those who work in hospitals, are required to be up to date on all their vaccinations as a condition of employment. Teachers and school staff as well in most places. There are some other examples, but I think those are probably the largest.

A lot of it comes back to limiting liability. If they don’t require it and someone gets seriously ill or dies, that’s a massive civil liability sitting out there for them.

Now you know who to make cough up money for any loss of income you might have.

I can see what they’ll do next with those on Medicare, Medicaid, VA, and insurance. Take the vaccine or lose your access to those.

I believe you have explained the question quite well.

In short, yes an employer can require the their employees be vaccinated.

Nope.

They can do a criminal background check. Although now that is state dependent I believe.

The credit check is very iffy. Back when I was working for international cooperation it was disallowed in some states.

They can only have you meet certain health requirements if it directly impacts on your ability to do your job and even then they have to make "reasonable accommodations" if you need some sort of help to do it.

For example, they can require you to have good eyesight to drive one of their trucks but they can not say "good eyesight without glasses". The glasses are considered a reasonable accommodation.

The more I think about it, the more insidious this becomes. They are proposing making the right to work a government-founded right, based on vaccinations.

At the same time, they propose removing the ability of an employer to ask about felony convictions, because felons shouldn’t have their bonafides questioned.

Think about that for a moment.

Is there any other malady for which not having taken a vaccine for is grounds for termination?

No but at Cedars Sinai hospital, workers were forced in years past to take a flu vaccination or wear a mask all day at work.

If the vaccines work, then, there should be zero problems for those who got the vaccine.

If the vaccines actually work. the real unwritten penalties might be:

Those, who don’t get the vaccine, might get sick, miss work be miserable with the flu for a couple of weeks and maybe go to the hospital and then maybe even die.

Shouldn’t that be enough punishment? If they don’t get vaccinated?

Without small business we are a country run for the government by the government and of the government. You know, like all the other countries.

In other words, compulsory.
