I am not anti-vaccines. Goodness knows I have gotten enough of them. But I am pro-freedom. And IMHO it is the God-given right of anyone to decide what medical treatment they or their minor children should be subjected to.

So yes, I am totally against this.

Doctors are getting a bit to uppity these days. They are not necessarily the smartest person in the room.

My observation, having worked with them, is that you have to pretty much decide you want to be a doc at 18-20 years old. From then on, it's solid work taking up almost your entire life until you're about 30.

They end up becoming adults with an incredible amount of knowledge in a single small functional area, and almost no knowledge of anything else they didn't acquire as a teen.

Some of them are practically helpless when it comes to maintaining a vehicle, understanding compound interest, fixing an appliance, installing carpet, etc. They missed out on everything else in life except medicine.

This doesn't apply to all of them, but to a certain degree to many.

The problem being, they assume their hyper-knowledge of medicine translates into understanding at the same level about every other aspect of life. Not only are they not experts about anything else (generally speaking) they're some of the most ignorant about everything else (generally speaking).

How is loss of employment less coercive than fine or imprisonment?

How is this not compulsory? Just because they don’t hold him down and inject him in the butt? What are fines and jail time but a penalty for non-compliance?
