For over two months we were told we cannot go to work, church, funerals, weddings, vacations, or sporting events. We are murderers if we don't wear masks.
Now the same Democrats who told us this, join in mass protests side by side.
So do you believe that:
A Covid19 threat was non existent or so exaggerated it was essentially a hoax.
B. Was an enormous threat but has somehow gone away.
C. Is still a huge danger.

I was reading comments on a baseball fan page about the possibility of an abbreviated season. One of the regular posters there - who wears his left-wing politics on his shoulder - was asking, “If it’s OK to protest, riot, go to the beach, go back to work, and go to restaurants, why can’t CLB and the NBA start back up?”
I don’t think even many leftists are worried about Covid19 any more.

If was a serious threat to some within our population, while not being a threat to the majority of the population. I think by now we all know who the vulnerable were.
Was the lock down necessary? Absolutely not. It was a political ploy to damage the sitting president and enhance the chances for the challenger from the Democrat Parry.
D. It’s serious (113,000 Americans dead as of now, and if there’s no vaccine or improved treatment that will be ~143,000 by August and potentially 650,000-750,000 by the time we hit herd immunity based on CDC’s numbers), but the lockdowns were completely unnecessary and did nothing to slow it. Sweden’s approach of social distancing while keeping businesses and the economy open makes sense, even in the event of a second wave.
The lockdowns were sold to us as making sure our hospitals didn’t get overwhelmed like what happened in Italy. After it became clear that wasn’t happening and likely wouldn’t with some basic measures, the justification used was not valid so they basically just started saying “because I said so”. The virus is very real and people are dying because of it. The scam is the response. The scam is their lack of preparedness after decades of knowing this kind of threat from China exists. The scam was the failure of government to do what it’s spent billions of dollars of our money claiming it was preparing to do: react appropriately to a pandemic. Complete and utter failure.
It should be perfectly clear to anyone with a functioning brain at this point that our government should not be involved in healthcare. This is one tiny aspect that’s been well known and well understood for decades and they utterly failed to manage it effectively. Their response was so bad it ended the longest period of economic expansion and history with no positive impact on the spread of the virus. Even the socialists in Sweden didn’t screw things up this badly.
Was a mystery because the Chinese wouldn’t give information of what they had loosed on the world. Now we have a better idea of what we are dealing with as well as effective treatments.
Between A and B. Not a hoax but certainly made out to be more of a threat than it was.

I’ve had a bad few mo’s with friends dying. Heart attacks. Car accident’s. Opioid’s.(1). Cancer. Aneurysm. Stroke. Etc.
11 that I can remember off the top of my head in the last 3 mo’s. Friends, former coworkers, long time friends of the family. And not one with covid.
Guess it’s a relief that they didn’t get sick before they died?
I am amused when these cretins and reprobates keep telling US just how “brilliant” they are and how “dumb” we are, while they continually stumble and blunder their way through life from one epic failure to the next. Simply amazing!

I think it was something to take seriously but there was a massive overreaction. No need to close everything down. If you are under 60 or don’t live in a nursing home, this was a non-existent threat.
