While he offered to take on a new persona, we felt his history as a cop disqualified from further participation with the group. I assumed he was more of an actor/musician/singer. They gave him a Cop costume for the role. And now that makes him a bad person?

Given the times we live in I am not sure if this is real or a satire.

“is this a joke?”
I can’t tell either, it’s no less ridiculous than all the other Chinese Cultural Revolution (at home edition) stories I’ve been reading lately.
Please label satire/parody stories as such, otherwise I will have to assume that every news story I’m reading today is satire.

Need to kick out the military guy also.

The original policeman Victor Willis is suing the Village People because does not want anybody to think he is still and the band.. It seems they used his image and voice without his permission. If he's no longer there then maybe it's just the cop symbol..?

From The Hard Times website:
“The Hard Times is a very real punk news site that you should not question. Just absorb the information as truth and move on. The historic satire site was founded in December 1976. Its made by a group of punk and hardcore kids from all the different sub-genres of the DIY hardcore scene. Any resemblance to actual persons or band names is coincidental.”
