Flubros and Flubras! Day 61 (a place for Flubros and Flubras)

It’s just the flu, bro.

Oregon courts have done the same as Wisconsin courts and struck down their stay at home order.

Texas has permitted more businesses to open - but it is not enough as restrictions have been put in place.

CV cases have just plummeted in some states, especially NJ.

I worry about kids’ sports...many are still shut down. Sport builds children’s character and help make them healthy. It is maddening that restrictions on those haven’t been eliminated.

Are there any Catholic Churches in the US that have removed masks and social distancing?

Our church met this Sunday for the first time since this all started. I asked one dear couple (he is 83 and she in her 60s) their assessment of this. They were disappointed: "They used fear. They used fear to control the people."

Precisely. The constitution does not grant rights. It only specifically calls out what God Given rights the government does not have the authority to take away.

You know God grants you the right to do a thing if you can successfully do it. God grants you the right to choose to murder someone, but the constitution does not protect that right.

Indeed, the lockdown is essentially over for me.

Although I went to get a haircut yesterday and they required a mask to enter the building. So, I did not get a haircut. Thinking about either going mullet or shaving my head like all the cool people.

I’ll decide after my Florida trip next weekend.

I thoroughly enjoyed Trump mentioning that he’s taking HCQ. The media has gone nuts. Cavuto, a persistent never-trumper, has predicted death, and I hear the the folks at PMSNBC have claimed already that he isn’t really taking it (and Chuck U. Schumer seems to be saying the same, even though he is probably taking it himself).

It’s the State Supreme Court, not the US Supreme Court.

Cases will hit SCOTUS, but they’ll have to be good ones.

So it follows, that one must stand on God-given rights in the face of tyranny less or life, liberty and property be reduced to mere privileges.
Fear no man or his “laws” (rules).

:: God grants you the right to choose to murder someone, ::

Probably NOT gonna agree with you on that.
That’s more of an Alistair Crowley privilege.

Kate Brown should be illegal and in prison for her crimes against the people of Oregon.

So, let’s talk about the much bandied-about phrase “The New Normal” (TM-DNC).

It appears that a return to work for many of us will require us to wear a mask in the workplace, indefinitely. What will flubros do? JonPreston (no professional courtesy to AI-bots) has spoke of this on this thread, also. I’ll start since I know what my RTW scenario will be.

We will have gate testing of all entrants.
Symptoms only. No virus or anti-body (blood) tests to return to work.
Office space will be regulated and masks will be required at all times in the workspace until further notice.
Conversations among employees will be held in office doorways (no same room confabs).
Employees will be provided cleaning tools to sanitize their office space at the start and end of each day.
There is no indication of discipline for not strictly following these rules but, it is implied since it will be codified as a “policy and procedure”.
My employer is considering added paid time-off for sickness verified as COVID.

I have been working from home since March 16 and believe I had a mild form in the days surrounding March 19.
I was exposed (at distance) to COVID on March 15.
I have never worn a mask for any reason at any time.

My first reaction will be to ask my manager to continue to allow me to work from home; I have proven my ability to do such.
If disallowed, I’ll be honest and tell him I will considering not returning to the office in an employee capacity due to my personal aversion to wearing a mask.

Future consideration regarding anti-body testing and vaccine.
I will not get vaxxed to return to work; it’s just the flu, bro.
Since the science is still out and I believe I have survived a form of COVID, I will likewise rebuff any requirement to get anti-body tested. My blood, my choice.

Anyone else gone through this exercise?
We might be able to take away good points from others’ thoughts.
Even if they are bug-eyed, wild-haired bat-schtuff crazy.

I do know that big companies are scared to death of lawsuits. If they go too forceful on testing and masks they fear getting sued by employees. Not forceful enough and they get sued by employees and customers. So I expect to see massive herd mentality like nothing we have ever seen before. I just don’t know where the herd will end up. I know one or two brave companies can set the tone and move the herd.

I think it will turn into whatever it takes to get into the door and then over the next couple weeks the people who work in the office will determine the course of action.

I was told the other day that a lot of people air traveling keep masks on until wheels up and then take them off. Essentially at that point what is the airline going to do

At the end of the day people will determine and there is power in that.

I think after four weeks in the office people will see the insanity and just go back to normal

There can be some good stuff to come out of this. But demands of strict compliance is taking a beating.

Since the lock down doesn't affect me personally, nor anyone else I know, I like looking look at the positives this blue state lock down is bringing to independent Trump voters.

First, the American university system is in deep trouble, especially if the Fall semester is held virtually. Parents simply won't pay the ridiculous high costs associated with college delivered to their kids via a computer screen. Youtube offers a better education on nearly any subject at no cost. Let education be done at home as we stand aside and watch the universities collapse.

Second, with sports at a standstill, ESPN is deader than Kelsey's nuts. Let this Disney creation crumble into a pile of dust as the radical left hosts try to gin up interest in a re-run of the first Ali/Frazer fight.

Third, Hollywood has vanished virtually overnight. With movie theaters closed any hope of a release of Summer blockbusters has vanished quicker than a passing thought thru Biden's brain.

Forth, gun sales are at an all time high while at the same time print media is laying off hacks at a record pace. Both bode well for our new beginning.

Fifth, with restaurants closed, women will once again learn how to cook for their families. This long lost art should come back to most of them once they begin get out in the kitchen and rattle those pots and pans, as the great Bill Haley & the Comets once said.

With this said, and in an effort to unify our forces before November 3rd, I ask that you take off your masks, stop complaining and live your life as a free American citizen.

Fear compromises the immune system...they tell you to stay home, out of the sun...they suppress info about the HCQ protocol...it’s almost like they want to INCREASE your risk of contracting caronavirus.

I am still looking for the large number of liability claims against grocery stores and big-boxers.
There is no legal status known as “essential” that dismisses public liability.
If Kroger isn’t getting sued willy-nilly and right-and-left, employers don’t have any worries.

Interesting “return to work” scenario.

My job never stopped - we have been doing the following:

Wipe down desk with Clorox wipes or equivalent at shift change, and as needed.
Hand sanitizer frequently.
Practice social distancing

Now, all the day-walkers (9-5 weekday drones) are working at home, but that’s about to end, if it didn’t already this week (I’m off this week). When they are back, we are to wear our masks whenever we are out in the main office area or whenever we might come in contact with others.

It’s recommended that people have their mask on upon entering the building (at least downtown), but I wouldn’t be doing that nonsense.

We can take our mask off in our control room, where I actually sit for the entire shift, and don’t need them when there’s nobody around in the building.

The mask thing is annoying as hell - treating us like subjects instead of citizens. I’ll put up with it for a while, since they pay us fairly well. But it does not need to be the new normal.

As for testing, there’s a table set up at all entrances, with a self-serve questionnaire, a non-contact thermometer (the kind you point at your forehead), paper masks for those that forgot their company-issued PPE, cleaning spray for said mask, hand sanitizer, and wipes. I have not yet filled out the questionnaire and probably will not.

If they decide that we need to be tested for the virus, or need to get a vaccine, well, I’m close enough to retirement age that I will consider putting in my 2 weeks’ notice and calling it quits.

Fascism doesn’t sit well with me. If the whiney libtards and fear mongers want to live in fear, they can do so. But I will not comply with their ridiculous BS. I’m going to live free.

FREEDOM!!!
