Indeed, the lockdown is essentially over for me.

Although I went to get a haircut yesterday and they required a mask to enter the building. So, I did not get a haircut. Thinking about either going mullet or shaving my head like all the cool people.

I’ll decide after my Florida trip next weekend.

I thoroughly enjoyed Trump mentioning that he’s taking HCQ. The media has gone nuts. Cavuto, a persistent never-trumper, has predicted death, and I hear the the folks at PMSNBC have claimed already that he isn’t really taking it (and Chuck U. Schumer seems to be saying the same, even though he is probably taking it himself).

So, let’s talk about the much bandied-about phrase “The New Normal” (TM-DNC).

It appears that a return to work for many of us will require us to wear a mask in the workplace, indefinitely. What will flubros do? JonPreston (no professional courtesy to AI-bots) has spoke of this on this thread, also. I’ll start since I know what my RTW scenario will be.

We will have gate testing of all entrants.
Symptoms only. No virus or anti-body (blood) tests to return to work.
Office space will be regulated and masks will be required at all times in the workspace until further notice.
Conversations among employees will be held in office doorways (no same room confabs).
Employees will be provided cleaning tools to sanitize their office space at the start and end of each day.
There is no indication of discipline for not strictly following these rules but, it is implied since it will be codified as a “policy and procedure”.
My employer is considering added paid time-off for sickness verified as COVID.

I have been working from home since March 16 and believe I had a mild form in the days surrounding March 19.
I was exposed (at distance) to COVID on March 15.
I have never worn a mask for any reason at any time.

My first reaction will be to ask my manager to continue to allow me to work from home; I have proven my ability to do such.
If disallowed, I’ll be honest and tell him I will considering not returning to the office in an employee capacity due to my personal aversion to wearing a mask.

Future consideration regarding anti-body testing and vaccine.
I will not get vaxxed to return to work; it’s just the flu, bro.
Since the science is still out and I believe I have survived a form of COVID, I will likewise rebuff any requirement to get anti-body tested. My blood, my choice.

Anyone else gone through this exercise?
We might be able to take away good points from others’ thoughts.
Even if they are bug-eyed, wild-haired bat-schtuff crazy.

Thinking about ... shaving my head like all the cool people.

One has to have the right kind of head for it to be one of the cool people. I finally broke down and shaved mine. Unfortunately, I am not one of the cool people.
