Two things today:
Public policy contradicts the science - Wuhan flu will stop when herd immunity occurs. Both deaths and economic damage are minimized when herd immunity occurs as a result of largely asymptomatic people getting exposed to the virus as quickly as possible. Anything done by policy makers to actively prevent the spread of Wuhan Flu to the healthy (eg school closures and business lockdowns) actually winds up increasing the number of deaths and hurting the economy. The target should be to try and get the approximately 60% with antibodies needed for herd immunity to be largely from the healthy population. Ben Shapiro has been good about this recently - I guess Israeli scientists call it the controlled avalanche approach.

Boosting immune system against CV - Young healthy people are not affected by CV. This will be known as the nursing home disease with maybe half of all deaths nursing home residents. Nursing home patients are often stuck inside all day which makes them vitamin D deficient. Low vitamin D is apparently an excellent predictor of probability of dying from CV. So vitamin D supplementation and/or sunlight will help make sure you are asymptomatic if you get exposed. Extra zinc might also help as it kills the virus. Not sure of the science but maybe since Hydroxychloroquine plus zinc helps them zinc alone must surely help too. Any other Flubro insights on how to stay healthy when exposed to Wuhan?
The only thing I would point out is that Flu deaths are ALL estimated using an analysis of death certificates AFTER the season has ended. Influenza deaths are not “reportable” (except for pediatrics.)
The ONLY accurate measure will be a historical review of overall death rates on a year to year basis.
In the end, the issue with the virus isn’t the death rate. It’s the infection rate, length of stay in the hospital, and the disruption of “the system.” This has always been the case.
Counting deaths to determine the impact of the virus is a waste of time. The impact is economic. It always has been.
The economic impact of the Wuhan Flu is mostly self inflicted.
A friend of ours was walking by her house last week and was hit by a car. It nearly killed her.
” Dr. Birx said that anybody who dies with the Wuhan virus will be counted as a Covid 19 death. The actual number that have died of Wuhan flu is likely less than usually die of normal flu annually.”
In an average year there are 57,000 deaths in NYC FROM ALL CAUSES IN AN ENTIRE YEAR. 57,000 / 12 = 4,750 deaths in an average month. There were 17,043 Covid deaths in the last 30 days in NYC. If we blamed ALL the normal deaths on Covid, that would be 4,750, but what about the other 12,293 deaths? What caused them, genius?
Nationally, normal flu kills about 30,000 over a 100 day flu season. That’s 300 per day. But about 2,000 people are dying of Covid in the US every day. At some point you have to admit Kozak is right - your head is in your keester.

Nationally the Hong Kong FLU back in the 60s killed more people, even with the padded padded Wuhan flu numbers. I wonder why the numbers for NY are so much worse than the rest of the country? Where I live there is not much impact from the Wuhan flu. It is a lot like a normal flu season except for the forced closures. I suspect that most of the country is like that.
The padded numbers are a criminal matter IMHO.
Every possible death is being used to rip-off the Federal Government for reimbursements.
