The Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia is actively investigating the complaint against Joe Biden brought by Tara Reade, the woman who accused Biden of sexually assaulting her in 1993, despite her allegation being impossible to prosecute since it is past the statute of limitations.
“This is an active, ongoing investigation, and there are no further details to provide at this time,” a Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson told the Washington Examiner Tuesday regarding Reade’s case. “Cases that are handled by the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit go through a multi-review prior to being assigned a disposition. This case is progressing through the review process.”
The investigation remaining open, despite the alleged incident occurring past the statute of limitations, struck multiple experts as highly unusual.

I have no use for Biden, and he may have done what she accuses him of. But 1993?! C’mon! The Statute of Limitations has to mean SOMETHING or we could be investigating JFK still!
Let it play out in the court of public opinion, and leave it at that. We don’t need this sort of thing to go after Biden anyway.

If the Democrats agree to stop making baseless claims against Republicans, then I would agree that we could stop giving Biden and perhaps others a hard time.
But that’s not how this stuff works. Democrats will ALWAYS make baseless claims against Republicans. So, you have to be pretty stupid to say, “Why are we giving Biden a hard time?”
Can the legal team at least petition to make him wear an ankle monitor?

So it's not really being investigated at all. It's just being reviewed. I doubt it ever gets beyond the review stage.
I have no problem going after Biden on this. But now is far too soon. We want this to be in the public eye AFTER he has the nomination secured.

I agree. Even though it is very likely slow joe is guilty the police should say it’s been too long we can’t do anything for you.
That being said it is allowable in the political arena and should be given the same treatment Kavanaugh got.
We need to hold those people that smeared Kavanaugh accountable; as they are the ones who set the new standard. If you dont, you will get rolled by their double standards.
