Good documentary on Netflix about this....
I have no doubt that the case workers for Child Protective Services knew all about the situation.
But they are just one small part in the overall process to screw over men and fathers and maintain the honor and integrity of mothers. Even evil scumbag mothers.
I also have to wonder how many times different judges gave this woman a “second chance”. How many times a judge ordered counseling and perhaps denied the father his God given rights?
The social workers were fired? Sure. They were easy pawns to throw under the bus.
Having dealt with child protective services (not personally) they seem mainly interested in bothering normal people and ignoring actual abuse.
I watched a small child get beaten (punched with closed fist), then dragged away into a car before I could do anything. Took a picture of the car license plate. Called the cops; called CPS, no action. Took two days to take my statement. Stood in Target parking lot for two hours before leaving bc cops never showed. They got mad because I called back and said I was leaving and threatened me.
Simultaneously, Ive seen them harass a teacher for disagreeing that there was any sign of abuse for a kid. The teacher only had limited interaction and did not know, one way or the other, what was going on at home. He could say the kid was punctual, clean, prepared, and did well. Had friends. Apparently this was the wrong answer, so they threatened him with prosecution.
Gee! ....How many times have the government school defenders said that teachers in the schools prevent child abuse?
How many times have we heard from these government school defenders that homeschoolers might be abused in the home?
The social worker not only needs to be fired but locked in jail for a few years.
This little boy would be alive if even one person at DCFS did their damn job properly.
the fact they can claim they did the best they should haunt them forever.
And this case isn’t unique. This happens over and over.
Its Netflix. I will not watch it
Those CLS idiots need to spend 20 years in San Quentin solitary
Kid should have tried praying. That would have gotten the attention of the entire public school bureaucracy.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).
There’s a certain danger on teaching this in a public setting in today’s world; but believe it or not it is still legal to spank your children in the United States. You are not forbidden by law to use corporal punishment on your child as long as the form of punishment is reasonable and does not cause injury.
Now, if you leave marks on the child you could be in trouble if the right people see it. So, I would suggest you spank with love and with a little wisdom. do not snatch your kid up by the scruff of the neck and haul him into the restaurant bathroom and spank them, or in the mall bathroom and spank them. You’re going to get in trouble, all right?
My son has already had two house visits from the cops and a secret hearing where they (temporarily) took custody from my son....because mom said dad wasn't enforcing HER dictated bedtime.
Bottom line, mom is trying to tire out dad to get him to agree to let the child move with her and her new live-in boyfriend (third one in 18 mos) out of state.
Worst part. If he had been a white middle-class child, he would still be alive today. The government has to watch those numbers.
tears flowing here. These evil thugs called his mother and her street hood may have gotten away with murder here but when they stand at God’s throne with that little angle at God’s feet, the gates of hell wide open and waiting.
I watched this Netflix series, excellent. But I must say, and I am not passing blame, but the principal of this school told the teacher to not get involved. She called childrens services multiple times. Gabriel was not in school for two weeks, when he returned his badly beaten body was healing but she could tell it had to have been horrific. Had I been her, I would have put him in my car, taken him to a hospital and if I lost my job. I would have sued the school district. Gabriel would be a live today. A terrible miscalculation to trust lazy, liberal social workers.
But as terrible as Gabriels life was, he was treated like a gem in comparison to six year old Isaiah Torres, in Arkansas. An absolute demonic story which is still unfolding in a mistrial. Another child who had a brutal life and brutal death, which childrens service did not do their job. I honestly could easily put a gun to these parents head and gleefully pull the trigger, I would feel blessed if I could do so,
Hard to read.
Is it just me or has the depravity of these child-abuse cases gotten worse and worse over the years? I don’t remember reading stuff this bad in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, for instance.
Second, if child protective services can’t do anything about cases this awful, what the hell are they there for?
My heart just broke.
Sometimes I don’t think anything could surprise me...
“In what has been described by US media as an unprecedented move, the four social workers involved were charged with criminal negligence in the case. “
Should be charged as accessories/accomplices...
