My son has already had two house visits from the cops and a secret hearing where they (temporarily) took custody from my son....because mom said dad wasn't enforcing HER dictated bedtime.
Bottom line, mom is trying to tire out dad to get him to agree to let the child move with her and her new live-in boyfriend (third one in 18 mos) out of state.
"My grandchild, my rules. And "the law" doesn't figure in anywhere there..."
My son went thru something similar with his ex. I also had an encounter with CPS over 25 years ago in California. They have so much power its incredible. They were allowed by the school to interview my daughters, ages 5 and 9, separately and alone about their brother, all without parental notice or permission. And apparently thats perfectly legal in the school system. This was after we took him out of public school to homeschool him, which nobody was doing in the state in the mid 90s. CPS needs to be overhauled entirely IMO.
