I am not a doctor or an epidemiologist. I am a regular guy who sees the world and tries to understand it from a very common sense point of view. Tragedy has struck China, the virus has spread around the world. The Coronavirus is a problem and it must be dealt with. I am not a denier: what I will say is stay calm and dont panic.

Folks SOMETHING STINKS!

yes, this is just the usual winter Chinese flu. Happens every year. It will be gone in a few weeks. a total overreaction or is it fake overreaction with all the huge sulfur dioxide plumes rising out of central Wusan just the usual annual Chinese New Year celebration clean up?
Then, there are all the actor and actresses in those so-called quarantine clinics posing for Chinese social media just to make a buck.
The disappeared reporters are likely on a sabbatical or a paid CCP vacation to some tropical island with lots of willing women and gambling tables water slides and poor side bars serving free drinks ...
What stinks is the sulfur dioxide plumes in Wusan from the 10s of thousand of bodies being incinerated.
Why doesn’t Texas fall into to the Gulf of Mexico?
China has 1.45 billion people not 4 billion
on the other hand, if COVID9 is an escaped bio-weapon, all bets are off
I moved away from Ctrl FL almost 10 years ago. Part of it is that we were being priced out of the game. Part of it is that I’m a bit of a prepper. Now we’re in the Ozarks, 100 miles from St Louis, 30 miles from the interstate, 1/4 mile to the nearest neighbor. We’ll just sit here watching the news(internet) and say, glad we don’t live there anymore or glad we don’t live in a city.
We won’t see any bare shelves except for china gadgets at walmart. Smoked oysters maybe, sardines. Auto parts will be an issue. I’m buying tires, brakes and tune up for everything later this week. PS pump’s getting a little noisy on the truck too. Most new aftermarket parts are china and most reman parts are mehico.
I’m not panicking, I’m preparing.
So how are you preparing?
I doubt that COVID19 is a bio-weapon. It may have been a lab virus that the Chinese were using to test vaccines. And it got out. COVID19 is not a military weapon. It may actually help the country affected. It mostly kills older people and sickly. And it is so fast moving that it could fly through a country in a couple of months leaving a stronger population behind. No, COVID19 is not military grade. But it would be a great test virus.
Hoax. It’s like the common cold. Funny how the Hong Kong protests ended at the exact same time of this.
Yeah the media.
I’m not panicking but I fully acknowledge every body in authority is.
bttt
I agree, and I should be worried as I have asthma conditions so I should be one of the groups most worried. Not worried.
Bought tons of canned beans today. There was a sale on Bush’s canned beans, and there is a seemingly infinite variety of them.
That’s the point, isn’t it? People are prepping for the wrong things.
Very true and sad at the same time!
Me, too. Almost 20 years.
The US has a $22T economy. Of the $22T only $3.5T is involved with trade. 84% of the US economy has nothing to do with rest of the world. We will be fine.
If it really hits a region in the US, the grocery stores will look like they did in Milan yesterday.
