Sepsis, an infection that kills millions worldwide each year and is the third leading cause of death in the United States, may have finally met its match.
Paul Marik, the EVMS Foundation Distinguished Professor in Internal Medicine, Professor of Internal Medicine and Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, believes he has developed a cure for the life-threatening infection. His treatment breakthrough promises to revolutionize sepsis care and produce results that are nothing short of astonishing.
Vitamin C is often used intravenously as part of a treatment for cancer.
Hydrocortisone is used to relieve inflammation and for a variety of conditions from arthritis to asthma.
Thiamine is a vitamin.
Sepsis is the leading cause of death among hospitalized patients.
As a critical-care physician and head of the general intensive care unit (GICU) at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Dr. Marik used to be locked in a struggle with sepsis. Despite his efforts, one to two people under his care died each week from the disease. That all changed unexpectedly Jan. 5, 2016.
The breakthrough came as Dr. Marik struggled to save a woman dying from overwhelming sepsis. He had recently read about vitamin C as a potential treatment for sepsis, and he recalled that steroids, a common treatment for sepsis, might work well in concert with the vitamin C.
Aware that both were safe and would not harm the patient, he gave her the vitamin C and steroid combination intravenously.
Within hours, his patient was recovering. Two days later she was well enough to leave the ICU.
Dr. Marik and is colleagues were astonished.
In the following days they used the combination therapy on two more patients seemingly destined to die of sepsis. Twice more the patients recovered. Dr. Marik and his team quickly adopted the combination therapy as standard practice.

When Harvard,Columbia,Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic approve I'll accept it.Until then,no thanks.
My mother died of sepsis at Johns Hopkins 7 1/2 years ago. I don't give a damn that the apparent cure comes from Eastern Virginia Medical School.
I’ve been buying Natures Aid sugar free chewable tablets. They have Rose hips and Citrus Bioflavanoids. Bought online either through Walmart or Amazon.
I was eating a lot of vitamin C gummies but it was driving my blood sugar up.
I would like to mention that if taking Vit.C at home remember that results from any vitamin takes a month of religious daily dosing. Results take longer than toxic meds. Don’t forget to take your vitamins every day. Study which ones help which weakness. Online has good sources.
Yes. Vitamin C is not a patented item. Follow the money.

“The library bound hardcover includes the Linus Pauling Heart Disease Lecture on DVD. The Harcover includes the entire Pauling/Rath Unified Theory paper that was denied publication in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
Owen has been in a unique postition to tell the story of the Pauling-therapy® for Heart Disease. This book covers the greater than 50-year history of the vitamin C theory of heart disease as well as the 12-year success of a vitamin C/lysine therapy for cardiovascular disease invented by the American scientist, Linus Pauling.
Heart patients who decided to follow Linus Pauling’s advice recovered in approximately 30 days, and many experienced significant relief in as little as 10 days. The recoveries only occurred after these former patients adopted the Pauling-therapy®, usually without their doctor’s knowledge or consent.”
I posted an article on another thread from a Sepsis site.
There are mixed thoughts on this with some studies saying that they didnt see a difference. It also indicated that there were current studies in various countries on the subject.
However, when your loved one is about to die I agree with you. I don’t give a damn if some studies say it doesn’t work.
You can’t just sit back and let the the practices of Harvard kill off someone.
I don’t care if I have to sign a waiver of liability. Give me the Vitamin C
Yes...family are getting tired of me pushing vit c and vit d...I even think my Doc felt I take too much C...too bad.
No,I'm not necessarily suggesting that a dying child shouldn't receive a particular vitamin.I'm not a physician and therefore am not qualified to make such a statement. But I am saying that it's far too early to claim a "medical breakthrough".
And to be precise I mentioned four different medical schools...and that goes back to "reproducibility".
I use Vit C in place of benadryl when needed for allergy
She was a star: Maryland girl dies after what was thought to be a simple case of the flu
this ‘story’ was deleted once already today.

Thank you.
Thank you.
Yes. The reason was I accidentally used a blog with ads the first time I began to post this information. I appreciate the Mods correcting the situation.

I wonder if that treatment could have saved this little girl who just died from sepsis and septic shock:

Yes. I wondered as well. This story was the reason I started to look for the information regarding the protocol, and unfortunately, I posted the first item last night from a blog with ads. It was deleted, correctly.
Oh yes, and I paid them no attention at the time and have stayed amazingly healthy as I have aged. No physical problems in my old age.
I think there is a long way to go on this subject.
But any hospital is going to have a hell of a fight from an army of lawyers in my family if they refuse Vitamin C upon request to someone with sepsis..especially when their Harvard protocol isnt working.
I don’t care if insurance will pay for it...and they probably would not pay for it...or at least they would put up a fight.
I will sign a waiver of liability.
Trying Vitamin C is better than someone dying because you didn’t try it and only followed Harvard protocol.
