Probably true in a viral-saturated environment like an ER in WaHoo or whatever you call it lol. But in an ordinary environment, mask effectiveness would be much longer.
Similar issue with mask or goggle fit -- much more critical in saturated environment than casual surroundings.

Yes - but 80-90% comes from China. 3D printing drastically reduces lead time.
It seems so much of our JIT supply chain is what can force shortages in a black swan moment.

I looked at white rice in Costco yesterday. Was surprised none of it from China, although much of China is too far north/unsuitable for growing, I think. The rice products originated in California, Vietnam, and other SE Asia countries. But if those trading partners get knocked out as well we’re down to the domestic (CA and maybe SE?).

I was talking with a gal that works for the government. They are doing some training and education stuff just in case - typical stuff. Making sure people can work from home if need be, etc.
The main guy running it also is dealing with folks in China. He told them to multiply the numbers coming out of China by 7.
