“I figure 18 hours for staples in grocery stores once the panic hits.”

I looked at white rice in Costco yesterday. Was surprised none of it from China, although much of China is too far north/unsuitable for growing, I think. The rice products originated in California, Vietnam, and other SE Asia countries. But if those trading partners get knocked out as well we’re down to the domestic (CA and maybe SE?).

Buy USA Rice :) Much safer than stuff coming from Asia, plus buying American! Riceland has been running ads over the past couple months.

When I saw a rice paddy in Arkansas, I was not even sure what it is...but turns out rice is grown Arkansas, Texas, and California. Maybe some other areas too.
