Buy USA Rice :) Much safer than stuff coming from Asia, plus buying American! Riceland has been running ads over the past couple months.
When I saw a rice paddy in Arkansas, I was not even sure what it is...but turns out rice is grown Arkansas, Texas, and California. Maybe some other areas too.
Being from Washington State, rice, tobacco, and cotton farming are pretty foreign to me. But we are familiar with cannabis production.
Oh, yeah, far NW Arkansas, “the vast expanse of nothingness” as my wife’s Filipina friend who lives in Jonesboro put it when she 1st traveled through that seemingly unending flat terrain.
I don’t see much “sticky” rice or Jasmine rice from the central US yet though. I’ve learned to prefer it. Some is grown / produced in CA, I think?
