It’s being reported that just a day after LGBTQIA+ fanatics made the hashtag #BoycottHallmark trend on Twitter, the Crown Media team that opertaes the Hallmark brands decided to issue a letter on December 15th, 2019 apologizing to the LGBTQIA+ community and vowing to reinstate the Zola ad featuring a lesbian couple kissing during their wedding.
Axios picked up the news after Hallmark sent out the letter, the relevant part of which reads…
"Hallmark is, and always have been, committed to diversity and inclusion – both in our workplace as well as the products and experiences we create. It is never Hallmark’s intention to be divisive or generate controversy. We are an inclusive company and have a track record to prove it. We have LGBTQ greeting cards and feature LGBTQ couples in commercials. We have been recognized as one of America’s Best Employers for Diversity. We have been a progressive pioneer on television for decades – telling wide ranging stories that elevate the human spirit such as August Wilson’s The Piano Lesson and Colm Toibin’s The Blackwater Lightship, both which highlight the importance of tolerance and understanding.
“Hallmark will be working with GLAAD to better represent the LGBTQ community across our portfolio of brands. The Hallmark Channel will be reaching out to Zola to reestablish our partnership and reinstate the commercials.”
So basically, score another big win for the Rainbow Reich.
Any and everything they want, they get. Any and everything they say, others do.
This has become the standard trend for today’s society, where a vocal minority literally dictates the entire course of Western culture, whether it be in literature, comic books, television, movies, or video games. They always get what they want.
If they want something banned, they get it. If they want something unbanned… they typically get that, too.
I’m curious how Hallmark’s regular viewers will take to this change in the company’s ideological disposition? The channel’s core demographic skew straight females between 18 and 54, according to Broadcasting Cable and the Nielsen Media ratings. Will they continue to just scarf down any kind of views they don’t agree with until they become complacent with the message being peddled by the propagandists? Or will they stop watching Hallmark?
We’ll I guess we’ll find out when the numbers for the holiday quarter drops.

LOL, the people that were pushing for this, don’t even watch Hallmark anyway, and won’t watch it now.
And now they’ll lose a significant portion of their audience, that will not be replaced.

Nice thing about capitalism. Everyone has competition, and the wife will wait untill she sees a H-mark movie with a deliberately introduced non-necessary you-know-what couple before we simply quit watching and seek other videos.
Use to watch Netflix (now Gayflix). Story.
We really do not care about the sex lives of folks, but we do care about the 2% parading in front of us in way more stories than would occur in real life.

There are greeting card alternatives to Hallmark. Many.
Hallmark Christmas movies not so much...It WAS a safe zone for TV viewing. Emphasis on word WAS
My wife has been a fan through the years (however she is more interested in their Murders & Mysteries programming). I know she has watched a lot of their Christmas movies, but this year she seems to be burning out on them. They really are making too many of those movies. I think they do about 20 new Christmas ones a year now. There are only so many times you can keep going to the same well.
Hallmark handled this badly. They could have simply scheduled the shows with LGBTQFCUKYOU behavior at 3am and placed a warning about the “non-normal content’ at the beginning of each show, possibly also before each offending sex scene.
Now Hallmark has to issue apologies to whichever side is screaming the loudest ad infinitum.
My BIL loves Hallmark channel,
but is intolerant of the Homosexuality thrust in his face.

We got played on this one. I’m in the wedding business. Have been for 20 years or so. Been to thousand’s of weddings and never heard of this Zola company before this weekend. Now it’s a household word. Great marketing play to get attention for some new website or company.
Here is an email for Hallmark...I just sent one...I have not had it bounce back yet, so hoping it works for anyone else who wishes to send them a note.
My biggest problem is that at least with a movie, if a viewer objects to the content, they can skip it...Much harder to do with commercials...

Although I don't have actual numbers, the basic math is straight-forward:
1.8 of the population is homosexual.
Of these, perhaps 1.8% watch the Hallmark channel.
Of these, perhaps 1.8% will actually bother to participate in a boycott.
Hey, we might be talking about a couple thousand people across the country!
We all need to send Hallmark a sympathy card from American Greetings.
