I received word from 2ndDivisionVet wife that he passed away.
I am not using his real name here out of respect but, will ping his handle and his wife can if she would like.
I didn't ask what he died from but, knowing him for better than 10 years, I knew of medical conditions and a few terrible Operations he had.
He was a wonderful human being who cared deeply for his fellow Americans and the ideals that make this country so great that people the world over want to come here and be free, live in liberty and be whoever they want
If you have ever spoke with 2ndDivisionVet, you know he was quick witted and wry.
What had always amazed me about him was not just his humor but, his ability to somehow take life in stride despite all he endured and be cheerfull.
He was amazingly resourceful in scouring the web for article we might find interesting.
Yes, 2ndDivisionVet really cared about all of us and our presence in his life gave him purpose
I really wish God had let him stay but, my thoughts are more selfish than the absolute knowledge that he is in a better place.
I hope to see him again one day.
Rest in peace and smile down on us 2ndDivisionVet
RIP 2dv. Condolences to the family.

This is sad news. He was witty and put up a lot of interesting posts. I hope it’s a comfort to his family knowing that he’s in a better place now.
RIP.
I will miss him. Freepers will miss him. Prayers up for his family.
Thank you for informing us. He was a great American.
Condolences to his family and friends. I hope that they are gladdened and comforted by having known him.

Oh, no.
I rarely comment on these kinds of threads, but this one hits home.
So sorry for your loss. RIP
Oh no...such sad mess. He was a great guy.
Its so nice that FReepers leave instructions for their widow, widower, or friends to inform us of their passing. We should all take such advance steps (in addition to a will, trust, advanced directive, and donor card).
I too was active on many of his posts. I cant remember any time where i found him to be unkind or thoughtless.
I’ll miss him and pray for the peace of the people that love him.
RIP Soldier and Bless your soul to the heavens.
OMG, how sad, RIP brother FReeper, and condolences to your wife and family.
NO EFFING WAY!!!
