Full Title: TICKING BOMBS Pentagon ordered to reveal to Congress if its scientists used diseased TICKS as biological weapons and if any escaped the lab
US Military chiefs have been ordered to reveal whether they used diseased TICKS in sick biological warfare experiments.
A bill passed in the House of Representatives requires the Pentagon to investigate whether researches infected the insects in the 1970s - and if any were let loose.
It comes after a bombshell new book claims the Defence Department was behind the spread of Lyme Disease between 1950 and 1975.
Congressman Chris Smith - who added the amendment to a military spending bill - said: "We need answers and we need them now."
The bill orders officials to "conduct a review of whether the Department of Defence experimented with ticks and other insects regarding use as a biological weapon between the years of 1950 and 1975."

Most blood-suckers are Democrats.
Open the books and, if it happened, shoot the guilty.
I think there is some island in some NY bay, and the nearest town to that is LYME.
And on that island —it’s about 300 meters offshore— they used to do all manner of bio warfare stuff.
I read about it a long time ago, though.
Plum Island.
Not sure of NY BUT there is a Lyme, Old Lyme & E. Lyme in New London County Connecticut
First RoundUp, then ticks, what’s DoD going to come up w/next?
Plum Island is juuust off the long finger of Long Island, sitting there in the bay:
You can see that the community of Lyme, Connecticut is more like 3 miles across the water, nearby.
There are some old stories about the odd infected animal swimming it’s poor way across that water and making it to shore, then inland.
But nobody really knows.
Our domestic enemies’ House of Representatives now needs to investigate those incendiary bat bombs we (allegedly) didn’t drop on Japan.

There are a lot of tick-borne diseases. Lyme is real bad, but might not even be the worst. And I live in a high Lyme area.
There’s babesiosis, a real beauty, but still rare here. And a host of others from other parts of the country.
So, an experiment gone bad is possible, but ticks have been bad news for a long time.
Trump did it! Impeach /s

“The 5,300-year-old ice mummy dubbed Ötzi, discovered in the Eastern Alps about 20 years ago, appears to have had the oldest known case of Lyme disease, new genetic analysis has revealed.”
So there we have it. Not only did the DoD create Lyme Disease, they used their time machine to go back and infect Otzi.
If the first step wasn’t a congressional subpoena to the author to appear before Congress with proof of the accusation... Well, it’s a liberal, so of course, random accusation requires the DOD to prove a negative.. When they reply there was no such program, the conspiracy nuts will claim coverup.
I think the worst outcome will be the DOD replying that there was some investigation for ticks as a vector for bio warfare, but of course deny using the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease.
All mariners know about Plum Island.
It’s like USAMRIID and an Area 51 put together.
FWIW, fire ants keep ticks, fleas and chigger numbers down. Yes, even fire ants have a use. Just not in excessive numbers...
Lyme is definitely not the worst.
Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever is the worst in my opinion.
I hate ticks,mosquitoes,leaches,fleas and Democrats.
