There are a lot of tick-borne diseases. Lyme is real bad, but might not even be the worst. And I live in a high Lyme area.

There’s babesiosis, a real beauty, but still rare here. And a host of others from other parts of the country.

So, an experiment gone bad is possible, but ticks have been bad news for a long time.

FWIW, fire ants keep ticks, fleas and chigger numbers down. Yes, even fire ants have a use. Just not in excessive numbers...

Lyme is definitely not the worst.

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever is the worst in my opinion.
