Dwight Schrute is a beloved character from one of America’s all-time favorite shows, “The Office.” He was hilarious. Freshman Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is also hilarious in her own way, but certainly not beloved. Check out this tweet from AOC, who berates Republicans and mocks their intelligence… This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and “fact check” it. Like the “world ending in 12 years” thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal.

She made the “12 Years” declaration many times in venues friendly to her Leftist ideals. She said this to applause in those venues. Her statement was shared many times in social media and by other means. She only pulled this “I was joking” shtick out of butt after months of mockery. She really is slow on the uptake.
I am torn about AOC. Yes she is funny to watch, but I feel embarrassed for her.
