FULL TITLE: Country House sensationally wins the Kentucky Derby after first-place finisher Maximum Security is DISQUALIFIED following steward's inquiry for impeding other riders
Country House has won the 2019 Kentucky Derby.
The long-shot horse, with odds of 65-1, was declared the winner of the world-famous $3 million race on Saturday, after Maximum Security was sensationally disqualified in a stewards' call.
Maximum Security crossed the line first, but its championship title was revoked after judges ruled that the thoroughbred had impeded other riders by changing lanes at the final turn.
The 150,000 spectators who descended on Churchill Downs in Louisville to watch the world-famous race were forced to wait for more than 20 minutes for a victor to be declared.
Shortly after 7 pm, Country House was crowned the winner after officials disqualified Maximum Security for the foul.
The shock decision marks the first time in the race's 145 year history that the victor has been changed on the day.

So..what would a $2 ticket bring?
To: Morgana
Just another “technical referee call” that changes the outcome of a sports event that also changes the hands that get the money.

I'd say that Maximum Security's jockey is updating his resume.
I doubt anyone would take him on.

If it was on Max Security--------$0.00. I think. 🏇

As a conspiracy theorist, I’ll stick with my contention that all major sporting events are rigged. There’s just too much money riding on the outcomes these days.
I thought the favorite being pulled this year would take care of things, but it appears that I was wrong.

65:1 makes it $130, doesn’t it?

I remember hearing the 65-1 odds BEFORE the race...and that gives me pause.
I'd be checking the big winners.

This just in: Hillary wants to know if there can be a steward’s inquiry into the 2016 election.

I don't know. I think Maximum Security got screwed. Max. Security did not impede or obstruct Country House at all. Maximum Security did stray into the 1 horse, who ended up finishing out of money. Maximum Security boldly held off Country House in the stretch run. Country House did nothing or was done something to it to warrant being declared the winner.

Ron Trucotte, Secretariats jockey, was paralyzed by a situation like this one. Its just good no one or no horse was injured. It is very upsetting, but I understand why the judgment call was made. Just damn.
To: freedom1st
Country House wasn’t declared the winner because of something Maximum Security did to it. Country House was declared the winner because it finished in second place and the first-place horse was disqualified for something that had nothing to do with Country House.

This was BS disqualification and I say this as someone who bet on War of Will (the #1 horse) who was most interfered with. The jockey on the eventual winner was the one that claimed foul, and his horse wasn’t bothered at all. Women who never rode in a real race should not be allowed to be stewards.

$132 for a $2 win bet, a $1 super high five (pick the first five finishers) bet paid $544,000. No, I didn’t have that bet.
To: freedom1st
I think he actually impeded War of Will. But that should have been enough to disqualify him.

Yeah, I'm getting fed up with the officials determining the outcome of games.
I watch games as the great struggle of individual players and teams, not a dweeb in zebra stripes and a tin whistle.
And it's not just in sports.
Look at the legal "referees" with their finger on the scales of Justice. The Supreme Court has became nine dictators making changes in society that belongs to Congress, as per the Founding Fathers.
Abortion, integration, prayers in schools, busing, immigration, firearms, gay marriage . etc. All decided by the courts, not the will of the people.
No wonder individuals occasionally "pop' off and commit heinous crimes. They want in on the "god" game, too.

Your horse had to pull up when MS cut him off. But they were all running so close together there.... and in the mud.
So are they saying that the jockey caused this?
Horse is going to run where it wants to run.
