In order to rank the dumbest cities in America, we had to look at which cities have the highest high school dropout rates as well as which cities have low college graduation rates.
This is a pretty good indication of where people live who don't have educational backgrounds.
Additionally, we measured how many libraries are in each city, as a ratio versus number of places to party.

On the other hand, I wish for calamity and despair for Chicago. I live 30 miles SW of Chicago and that'd be two of us who wish for calamity and despair in that shithole!!!!!

Surprised Houston, TX isnt on the list.
Especially that San Antonio and Dallas beat it out... Dallas is home to TI's HQ, Crow Holdings, HP, Samsung, ATT, Toyota NA, among many other tech companies. One of the biggest growth cities for IT.. I doubt they would all be moving to one of the stupidest cities...

I went through Rio Linda about three years ago when I visited Elverta. I just had to visit the community that Rush Limbaugh made famous.

A lot of people in NOLA still think the “lieberry” is for rich white people, or that it costs money to go there.
This I observed anecdotally while living there. IDK what % of population it was, but seemed like a lot.
A lot of NO residents are the descendants of slaves who chose not to leave the south after emancipation. They remained as sharecroppers or trades people, artisans, tailors, blacksmiths, etc, continuing to earn wages with the skills they’d learned on the plantations.
No need to read.

Having lived there I can tell you that their IQ on economic matters is roughly 38.
