Levis CEO Chip Bergh admitted on CNN Business Markets Now that he still hasnt washed his now decade-old pair of jeans. And he doesnt plan to, either. He also slammed the old wives tale about freezing your jeans to preserve the color and shape. If its the pair Im thinking of, he will spot treat them or worst case hand wash if needed. But never in the washing machine, a Levis spokesperson said.

"...washing machine..."
Its easy. New jeans only get washed gentle cycle cold and hung to dry.
When totally worn they get used for yardwork and eventually tossed.

I don't buy Levi jeans anymore. They are uncomfortably tight in the man part areas. I think they were designed by San Francisco designers who either don't have any testicles or have never seen a pair.

I have a photo of a girl in about that same pose. It was actually of a group of college students dancing. Just happened to catch her in the perfect pose. She was also wearing jeans.
A couple of points. She actually looked a bit better than that girl. She also looked just as good from the front. She later worked as a foreign missionary and is now married with kids.

""My point at the conference, which by the way was all about sustainability, was to challenge the mindset that we need to throw everything into the washing machine after one or two wearings.
Depends on what you were doing in those jeans. If they were my good jeans that I wore to school, sure after two days they got tossed in the washer. But my older work jeans got tossed into the laundry immediately.
One does not 'spot wash" jeans when working on a farm with large animals or working on a hot summer day.

Sorry...I'd rather not be trailing an unpleasant odor due to unwashed pants. If washing shortens their life...so be it.

Used to be able to wash American made jeans hundreds of times over the course of many years. Now they are made in asia and fall apart after 3 washes.

Thats a chick, right? Sorry, after some research, Levi 508 jeans with that large label appear to be men's jeans only.

Almost 50 years ago when I first got married we lived in a somewhat ner-do-well neighborhood. The greasy biker guy upstairs (sans motorcycle) swore he never washed his jeans and they could stand up in the corner of the room by themselves. We moved to a nicer area in 6 months and I always made it a point to wash my jeans after a couple of days wear.
