I don’t think my father ever wore khakis except occasionally during WWII when he wasn’t in fatigues or the rare occasions he wore the dress uniform , ... But on the other hand, HIS father probably wore them, shirt and pants from WWI until he died, except for the occasional dress occasion.

I like them because they are comfortable, yet OK for any situation from casual business dress, to running errands, to outdoors stuff.

Levi’s since a kid and I’ve
Stocked up on them too!
I wear them daily, wash
Them weekly or as needed.
When they wear thru I cut
Them up and use the pockets
For “Pot Holders” and patches
for “Cap and Ball.”

I quit buying Levis and Dockers 2 decades ago over the family’s gun control stance and support.

I don’t think dad wore khaki’s much during the war either. Mostly fatigues. And Germany and CZ were cold so heavier the better.

It was after the war that he wore them. He still does. He is 93 now.

The guy’s a CEO. Probably only wears them once in a while on the weekend. I work in my jeans and wash two or three pairs a week.

Bought a pair of Levi’s raw denim online about ten years ago and never wore them. They just weren’t the same as the stiff as a board levi’s we wore back in the 70’s you had to break in.

I wear Diamond Gusset jeans now. They’re comfortable, made in the USA and last a long time. Just retired a pair that lasted a couple years.

I have 2 pair of Levi 505 that recently had a belt loop pull off on one end. That should be the strongest stitching there. Each pair has a hole where the end of the loop was stitched to. I agree about the clothes not lasting as long as before. Some shirts I see at Kohls dept store are practically see thru as the fabric is so thin. I now but at Land’s End and LL Bean as they have sturdier shirts.

It’s easy. New jeans only get washed gentle cycle cold and hung to dry.

Thanks for this advice Blue Jays.

I had never heard of Prison Blues. Just bought 6 pairs of Cabela’s jeans so it will be a couple years, but next batch will be Prison Blues.

Thanks for the tip.

Wow, there are “how-tos” for everything these days.

Ooops, looks like I’ll never be cool.

But(t?) I’ll still have my dignity!

Yes, someone already told me that. I checked it was a Docker’s look alike that I had on hand.

Most of the time I wear Khaki’s. (Dickies)

I have blue jeans, but they are Wranglers. Cannot recall last pair of Levi’s I had. Did wear them in high school. (finished that in 1966, smile) College in 1970, by then I was wearing slacks.
