Charlotte Riley, who teaches history at the University of Southampton, penned an interesting op-ed in the New Statesmen last month where she literally suggested standing in the way of busy males on their morning commute to help resist perceived patriarchy in society. According to Riley, such tactics are necessary because males have naturally been raised to believe they have a right to occupy space. The point is that men have been socialised, for their entire lives, to take up space. Men who would never express these thoughts out loud have nevertheless been brought up to believe that their right to occupy space takes precedent over anyone elses right to be there, complains Riley. They spread their legs on tubes and trains, they bellow across coffee shops and guffaw in pubs, and they never, ever give way. While Rileys hatred of males is unique in that she chooses to hide her contempt in the form of refusing to move over at the train station, she also admits that reclaiming some of her space helps her to question potential assumptions that might be standing in the way of her success.
Her moonbat antics at the train station are going to cause her to get pushed in front of an oncoming train someday....you watch.
And since this is in the UK, the guy who shoves her will probably be a muzzie.
I hate to break it to that stupid feminist, so wrapped up in her fantasy is she, but she also takes up space. Just sayin’
Seems to me that if she got body checked by people she inconce inconvenienced shed learn her lesson.
As a conservative, American Man, no.
As a young, brainwashed millenial, well....
So it’s up to US to un-brainwash them BEFORE they get into these places where the Freakshow is allowed to run amok.
That smirk smile turns into a raging maniac in less than a blink of an eye.
Count on it.
.
I bet she doesnt do patriarchy chicken with middle eastern males. They would slap her silly.
A man occupies space even when he is dead, cremated, even. I suppose a Female Nation would kill and cremate all the men and send all our ashes into orbit or to the moon.
What a c**t
Many of these men are in a hurry because they are supporting a wife and children.
She obviously expects us to raise the toilet seat and then put it down again when done!
This liberal bully enjoys her moral cover. It is like a Muslim bully sexually harassing uncovered women, justifying it by saying it will make them follow Islamic social rules in public or stay home like good women.
“follow Islamic social rules in public or stay home like good women.”
Many men feel that a woman’s place is in the home and she should go there immediately after work.
Sounds like someone hasn’t had a date in a while.
These psychotic harridans actually believe that they’re accomplishing something other than just pissing off men and conservatives even more, that’s the hilarious thing.
Bet she takes up the seat beside her on the subway with her massive purse and assorted other crap and doesn’t think a thing about it, though.
Can we name this phenomenon? Something derogatory, sexist and negative? How about gyno-plopping?
“She obviously expects us to raise the toilet seat and then put it down again when done!”
That reminded me of a time many years ago, when I was in college. One evening I went to a party at a house shared by several girls. At one point I used the toilet, and when I came out, one of the girls asked me whether I had put the seat down. I just told her that it was already down when I went in there.
I think they should be spring-loaded myself, especially in public unisex bathrooms. Keeps the overspray from “hovering” off the seat.
“where she literally suggested standing in the way of busy Gay and Black males on their morning commute to help resist perceived patriarchy in society.”
And the hypocrite does not see that shes doing the exact same thing.
