Am 188% certain I have never watched a Star Trek before in my life.

On the contrary, I very well could have watched every.single.one of the original Star Trek. It quickly became just about the only program I watched anyway.

Next Generation had far better special effects but lost me when they swerved off into PC'ville too many times and quite frankly the appearances of "Q" just plain annoyed me as overblown and specious.
