How much cash someone carries is there business. The “war on cash” is another example of big government control.

It’s long past time to repeal the law that allows for these seizures without due process.

See, all that gruelingly intimate TSA digging around does serve at least one purpose. (And here was their first clue...)

Every country I've entered in recent years (including the US) has asked if you're carrying over "X" dollars, pounds, euros, yen, etc in cash or convertible instruments...and that sum usually comes to something close to $10,000 US dollars. If you don't declare it it can be seized.
I recently saw a video on youtube about a British government agency that questions people at Heathrow who are *leaving* the country and if you're found to be carrying large sums of cash they can demand that you give proof that it's "legitimate". And if they're not satisfied with your proof they seize it.

If you stack the cash, that co-aligns a special currency STRIP (you can confirm by holding $100’s up to light).
Thusly aligned, the stack returns a special type of emitted pulse to a detector; they KNOW you have the cash before they ask.
I remember there’s something you can put between a certain number of bills so that they do not return the pulse.
The $100’s from 8 or so years ago and older didn’t do this.
