Just launder it like everyone who wants to hide their cash flow.
The transportation of currency of monetary instruments, regardless of the amount is legal. However, when entering the U.S. in-transit to a foreign destination, you will be required by law to file a report with U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP). Pursuant to 31 U.S.C. § 5613, and 31 C.F.R. § 1010.340, the reporting requirements specifically requires that any person who physically transport, about to transport, mail, ship, or is transporting more than $10,000 in currency and other monetray instruments into the United States from or through a place outside the United States is required to file a FinCEN Form 105, Report of International Transportation of Currency or Monetary Instruments (CMIR), with CBP, in accordance with 31 C.F.R 1010.306.
Monetary instruments include currency as defined as the coin and paper money of the United States or of any other country that is designated as a legal tender and that circulates and it customarily used and accepted as a medium of exchange in the country of issuance. Monetary instruments also include securities or stock in bearer form or in such form that title passed upon delivery. Gold bullion is not a monetary instrument for purposes of this requirement. The requirement to report monetary instruments on a FinCEN 105 does not apply to imports of gold bullion.
Travelers checks in any form, and all negotiable instruments (i.e. currency, personal checks (endorsed), traveler’s checks, gold coins, securities or stocks in bearer form) valued more than $10,000 in your possession must be reported to a CBP Officer upon your entry into the United States. You can obtain the FinCEN Form 105 Forms online or from a CBP Officer.
This is why you should always line your underwear with foil.
Good memory:
Yes, I remember that totally amazing story.
It was posted here and attracted A LOT of interest.
Please ping me when you find that answer.
Never mind, I saw post #27.
Im confused. What was the crime?
Trying to hold up a bank.
Apparently if you have a problem with this, you either don’t support or understand the constitution.
Oh my god!! A traveler has concealed their cash! This clearly looks like anti-state, reactionary, counter-revolutionary activity.
You haven’t figured out that your money and other assets are not really yours??
Soon cash will be illegal.
The endgame is to have all your capital in 0s and 1s on the IMF computer so they can zero all your accounts out if they decide that your continued existence is of no benefit to them.
Lots of countries do weird stuff. If you leave Singapore to Malaysia in your car, ya gotta make sure you have 3/4 tank of gas. Because, fuel is much cheaper in Malaysia. Singapore wants the taxes, so ya can’t simply fill up there and come back. They check your car before you leave.
That was so subtle. Thanks for the laugh!
The criminals should have converted the $29K into 5 bitcoins. They would not be in the pickle that they find themselves in now. Instead, they would be flipping the bird at the.fedgov thugs.
Is that your life savings, or are you just happy to see me???
What was the crime?
Using a hedge fund to leverage a short position.
Article I, Section 8:
"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States
...
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations"
Now, I know I've offended some of the open border types on this thread, but I don't really care. This is a core precept of the Constitution.
Indonesians (probably Moslems) coming in from terrorism-funding Qatar (with hidden and open cash on them), into the U.S. Hmm. Guess they are going to open a Falafel stand!!
During WWII my brother & I had to live with my grandparents... Day in, day out he constant bitched about the government stealing his life savings when they stole his gold... I learned at an early age (9-to-12) that the communists had long since gained control of large parts of the government... The proof was more theft when the FDR scumbag imposed the "temporary" payroll deduction of income taxes... That was the point when he began seriously training my brother & I on the proper use of all kinds of firearms...
Open borders? HA HA HA HA! If it were up to me, I’d end the H1-B program, severally limit the L-1 visa program, build the wall as fast as possible and even curtail legal immigration until we those here have assimilated. English as the national language and near fluency required for citizenship. But yeah, I think limiting how much cash people can carry is an assault on property rights.
