Okay everyone, buckle up, because this might be the most insane wedding story you'll hear this year. On Saturday, one Twitter user, @0lspicykeychain, tweeted screenshots of a status she saw shared in a wedding shaming group on Facebook. (To clarify, a wedding shaming Facebook group is exactly what it sounds likea place on the internet where people go to shame weddings.) What follows is a truly incredible tale filled with broken promises, outrageous expectations, and a bride who thought asking each of her guests to contribute $1,500 to her wedding was a reasonable request: ...
In the status, the anonymous woman shares that she and her partner broke up due to "recent and irreparable problems." She then goes onto explain how the two met at age 14, fell in love, got engaged at 18 (with a $5,000 ring), and had a child together in their early 20s. They then saved up about $15,000 for their dream wedding but quickly discovered that their actual dream wedding would cost about $60,000. "All we asked was for a little help from our friends and family to make it happen," she wrote...

No one can possibly be so stupid.
Fake News.
There seems to be a lot of this “gofundme” type of begging going on.
I worked with a gal who skimped and saved for four years to do some dream wedding in Florida and honey-moon in Tahiti. She was just awful sure about this guy of hers and several of us who worked with her...felt he was a loser, and this dream deal was a total waste of money. But at least in her case, she worked to make it happen and felt it was all worth it in the end.
Potential SNL skit. lol
Oh, yes, they can. See the story about the welfare mom hosting a Black Panther movie themed high school prom party.
If we are lucky this girl will never procreate again, neither will her ex” or their son.
If her FB posts are real, she belongs in a mental hospital.
NO that would be too funny. Their too busy writing non-comedy skits.
Pfft... I would send the would-be bride a box of Tide pods and call it a day.
Riduculous how these snowflakes think there are no rules or consequences and that they deserve a dream wedding, just because they participated in life.
Well, I found at least 3 more...
Should have used that money to buy a house and pay their debts.
This is just about why I hate weddings in general. People become so Hypocritical and the Mendacity just piles up.
I finally got where I looked at a wedding invitation as a demand for a gift. So other than a cousin whose wedding I attended about 4 years ago I have pretty much avoided going to them for the last 30 plus years.
It’s almost sad to see the monies spent on the elusive fairy tale weddings that people want.
Would rather attend a funeral, a lot less pretense.
my wife and had merged our households. We had two or more of everything. We said this in out invitation. The guests paid for the wedding and most of the honeymoon with cash or check gifts
I saw some research which showed a negative correlation between the cost of the wedding and the longevity of the marriage.
Makes sense. Somebody with visions of a fantasy princess wedding will not be satisfied for long with a mere mortal for a husband.
Language at link is a hard R rating, nsfw.
It’s been said, that women want to GET married, while men just want to BE married.
Whatever happened to simply marrying in a church or courthouse? Hold a reception party with friends. That’s what receptions are for.
Hahahahahahahahaha!
You are living in America right? Sadly this is pretty much the norm in this country anymore. At least as far as I can see.
I might agree with that sentiment.
I feel sorry for the couple’s child. With parents like that, God help him/her.
