And the (MS)ESPN morning show she co-hosts, Clay Travis calls WokeCenter, is tanking in the ratings. Which sports fan wants to get ready for work hearing some nag in the morning?

Could somebody explain exactly what is meant by the “As a woman” part? How does that change the meaning of the sentence? if you left it out, would the sentence mean something else?

Marginal people get marginalized.
She works for ESPN and therefore by definition is marginal. she is a token hire who exists on the margin.

Jack Nicholson said it best in “As Good As It Gets”:
How do you write women so well?
To which Nicholson responds, “I think of a man and I take away reason and accountability”

Could somebody explain exactly what is meant by the As a woman part? She's claiming instant Victim Status. That means you are not allowed to disagree with the rest of her statement. She wins the entire argument in the first three words.

[Michelle Beadle] said that she was so fed up with the NCAA and NFLs response to controversies like these that she was boycotting both this year. Even though I agree with her sentiments, neither organization cares unless it impacts their bottom line. When I see men refuse to stand for our National Anthem, I think of the friends I know who died on foreign soil so these overgrown brats can take a knee. The NFL and the team owners need to grow a pair and demand respect for the Fallen when they are at their job. I have less than zero respect for the lot.

This seems to be (from what facts we get from the media) a manipulative decision that satisfied no one. It didn't please crazed "me too" type Nazis who would be satisfied with nothing short of a public hanging. It didn't please those who may or may not like Meyer, but don't think he should be punished for something he didn't know about because he should've known about it.
The Ass't Coach's wife never should've confided in Meyer's wife, because workplace disclosure rules put her in a tough spot. She should've gone to the police and filed a report. Reports are the College President is an appeaser, so felt he had to do something. What I don't like at all is after those who would never be satisfied anyway created the uproar, Meyer made another, groveling statement "clarifying his position" about violence against women. Even though he wasn't violent against women and it's quite possible he was never informed about what his wife was told.
You can't make this stuff up.

Maybe, she looks like Cynthia Nixon’s wife, or that SNL character “Pat”

As a man, women dabbling in football broadcasting has helped to ruin the game. Let it all fall down.

While many analysts have offered strong condemnations of Meyer and Ohio State, perhaps the strongest came from ESPNs Michelle Beadle. She said that she was so fed up with the NCAA and NFLs response to controversies like these that she was boycotting both this year. I gotta laugh at the idiocy ESPN has brought upon itself, but isn't an employee of a sports media outlet who boycotts major sports the equivalent of a car salesman who refuses to sell cars?

When I canceled my cable, the rep said “You won’t be getting stations like ESPN.” I said “Exactly why I am canceling.”

This seems to be (from what facts we get from the media) a manipulative decision that satisfied no one. The only one "satisfied" here is Zach Smith's wife. She tarred and feather her ex-husband for very little, and managed to take a big-time football coach down a notch or two in the process. A friend of mine knows Mrs. Smith's mother, and the mother is telling us that her daughter is a bit "unhinged", and that, as Coach Meyer initially noted, there was little or no "there" there. Much of what the top brass at Ohio State are doing is to appease the big dollar donors to the program, which is why it looks so slimy.
In some ways, this almost reminds me of Mueller, et al., against Manafort and Cohen, trying to get them to roll on President Trump.

That being said, theres a reason why this will be the second season I dont watch NFL and I dont spend my Saturdays watching college football either.
This is one of the many reasons I hate "political correctness"
Snowflakes like this Beadle woman whose job description is to report on sports...ALL sports. Even the ones she finds distasteful.
They want to join the "ole boys club" but once in they complain it's not "woman friendly"
ESPN pays you 5 million dollars a year on the soon-to-be-cancelled "Get UP'(Get Woke?) morning sport talk show. Suck it up, Buttercup. Or better yet, just quit and go back to your "wymen's studies" class.

Just one more reason why we no longer watch the PC Pink, SJW, national felon league.
Used to be an avid fan, along with my entire family. We haven't watched a single game, or spent a dime on any merchandise on this anti-American waste of time in over two years and don't miss it at all.
