Earth’s Second Magnetic Field: Satellite Image Reveals Invisible Force From Ocean Currents
Inquisitr ^ | 12 Apr 2018 | Mia Lorenzo

The Earth has a second magnetic field, one generated by ocean currents. Researchers know little about it, but images captured by satellites show this invisible force generated by the world’s salty oceans in perfect detail.

... ESA released a video detailing the changes in the Earth’s magnetic field over a 24-hour period... ...“It’s a really tiny magnetic field. It’s about 2-2.5 nanotesla at satellite altitude, which is about 20,000 times weaker than the Earth’s global magnetic field.”...

Oceans may have a small contribution to the magnetic field that protects the planet from harmful cosmic rays, but it remains to be an essential element. Seawater serves as an electric conductor. Aside from that, oceans move with the tide which could affect the magnetic field.

Living near the center of North America, far from any saltwater...

Should I update my hats?

How can they be sure the magnetic field is not causing the ocean currents?

;-)

And if they can detect It’s a really tiny magnetic field. It’s about 2-2.5 nanotesla at satellite altitude, which is about 20,000 times weaker than the Earth’s global magnetic field..

Just what can be viewed through a wall or two?
What would be the exposure time?

Some very sensitive man carried magnetometers are used for mineral exploration.
Are they also deployed at our ports? Airports?

Would this be fun to point around and see what there is to see?

The fields described is incredibly weak.

Over the surface of the earth may not add up to much.

"A refrigerator magnet is 100 gauss, a strong refrigerator magnet. The typical strength of the Earth's magnetic field at its surface is around a half a gauss. So those are everyday units of magnetic fields. There are 10,000 gauss in one tesla."

" about 20,000 times weaker than the Earth’s global magnetic field.”"

"A nanotesla is equivalent to one gamma, a unit originally defined as 10−5 gauss, which is the unit of magnetic field in the centimetre-gram-second system."

They may simply be viewing 'EMI' from my magnet collection?

Can you work that into natural everyday conversation?

Be sure to avoid any magnetized screwdrivers you may have too.

Perhaps a degaussing cable around my house and move my best neodymium magnets to the garage?

And the rest to the basement?

Guessing this would be classified as chronic exposure?

CRT’s use a degaussing cable, maybe I could repurpose one?
With a super shielded extension cord?

Thank you, that makes me feel better immediately.

Until I noticed your nickname???

Back to my safe (?)Faraday cage.

Trust me!
I’m sane, and have the papers to prove it!

But this is more like GRADUALISM.
Until:
As the polar ice melts and the salinity of the oceans drop...a vast change in the earth magnetohydrodynamics...

Dr. Raymond Stantz: Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!

Dr. Egon Spengler: Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...

Could be bad?

I suspect they have identified my collection of buckyballs.

I’m guessing the ocean currents have a direct impact in fluctuations in this field and the interaction between this one, the stronger field, and charged particles in the sky have a direct impact in weather generation. Cool stuff.

Eyes open, mouth shut...

In case you missed it; Buckyballs have been ILLEGAL for some time now!

Now I suspect that may be the true purpose of this satellite!
Unforchunatly I lost very nice gold plated set in a canoe accident, a major loss.

NOT. They started selling them again a few months ago. The nanny state finally relented.

I have about 12 sets that I do stuff with and still have 5 or 6 sets that I haven't even opened yet.
