Of the 12 restaurants serving dog meat dishes in the area, only two have complied with local authorities, who offered them subsidies in exchange for taking the item off the menu during the games, Channel News Asia reports.

You are sooooo bad. LOL
We are not going to change the Korean culture about dogmeat, as much as most of us in America would like to.
That is their business. If you don’t want it, don’t eat it, or visit the abattoirs to take photos.
After all these years, the Japanese are still hunting and eating whalemeat, without regard for what Greenpeace has to say about it.

My kids always ask me about eating dog in South Korea when I was a young soldier stationed there. I just tell them Kae-gogi is nothing special. It tastes just like Chicken! ;-)
Remember Obama made some jokes about eating dog? And the media and liberals were ok with that.
Ditto when some black comedian called Obama “my nigger”.
Sanctimonious types who gin up outrage are very selective about their r outrage.
I guess their Karma ran over their Dogma.............
Muslims don’t like dogs. So it would be ok for Obama to accept his fellow muslims and others eating them.
As long as they don’t put them on top of the car it’s okay................
Bet it tastes ruff....
I like most Korean food, but eating man’s best friend is disgusting.
Pretty sure India would prefer we not eat beef. But I don’t care. Just had a burger. It was delicious. We all don’t agree on much, why do some have to force their world view on others.
As an aside, the dogs they eat are a specific type bread for that purpose. They are not eating your poodle. I don’t want it, but I won’t try and stop them.
That comment of yours was Arf-ul.
There is an apocryphal soldier story of an Army officer on a command sponsored tour who took his wife to a Korean market so she could experience the culture. She saw a cage of puppies and gestured to the shopkeeper that she wanted one. The shopkeeper proceeded to get a puppy from the pen, rabbit chopped it and then began to wrap it for her in freezer paper.
“Man’s best Friend - and Mm-mmm Good.”
Funny how people who constantly tell us that we have to be accepting of other cultures and how no culture is better than another, are not accepting of another culture in this case.
German Shepherd’s pie?
Having served in Korea in the 60s during the Pueblo Crisis I can remember it was called kay-go-gee. Served in all Mokli houses.
