Matt Drudge has been in the White House an awful lot these days -- "all the time," as one senior administration official puts it. He's met with President Donald Trump, spent time with Ivanka Trump, and doled out advice to Jared Kushner.
That he'd have influence in the Trump White House should not be all that surprising. The internet news tycoon, who founded and edits the Drudge Report, the narrative-setting conservative news website, has been one of Trump's most ardent supporters since Trump announced his candidacy. He boosted him through the contentious Republican primaries, helped him defeat Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton by galvanizing the GOP base, and, for the better half of his young presidency, has stayed in sync with the White House's talking points.
But Drudge is blindly loyal to no one -- which could, ultimately, make him as dangerous to this White House as he has been helpful to it.

I voted for Trump enthusiastically. Doesn’t mean that just because Drudge links a news story negative to Trump equates to disloyalty. Why wouldn’t he? News is news.

They heard Alex Jones mention it in the last 2 weeks. He only said it one time that Matt Drudge meets with the POTUS often.
Someone over CNN must of heard it and now they are running wild with it pretending they are breaking it.

A lot of supporters of Trump never once looked at the Drudge report - I’m one of them. The president owes his success to his great campaign, not to an aggregate news site. Drudge hasn’t broken a story since...1993?

No it should be a concern for Drudge which is already hours behind real new s when it happens leaving it not worth going to when something important or real is reported elsewhere. I go to weascomelzippers first for general newsm-always right up to the minute. I go to Barenakedislam for news about a muslim animal attack. Nalert.blogspot.com is way better than Drudge. Frankly mattie boy can Go F67K Himself he is a quisling prick.

Matt Drudge is the only journalist I trust. I am grateful for what he does and I am glad to hear that influential people in the administration are inviting him in. It will be good for everyone, most especially for President Trump, if they listen to him.
I know I read several threads here. I am surprised u did not see them too,
as u are quite active here. The search function here is not very good.
Drudge helped Trump win the election much more than Trump helped Drudge be successful. This really isn’t an inflammatory or controversial statement.
Nor does he have newslink to the hundreds of heavily redacted pages re:tarmac meeting.
Something I’ve noticed lately is that when he does have news that’s important to conservatives, it’s there for a day or half a day and then gone. Meanwhile plenty of liberal and gossip type stuff is there for 2-3 days as it gets pushed down the page.
The only pro Trump stuff that remains is financial/economical.
Personally, I don’t think he wants either side to do well. That would make his site really boring. And maybe he does have a problem with the Trump admin right now. He labeled everything with LEAK for 2-3 weeks, whether or not the article linked even mentioned the word. He just chose to decide what was a leak and what wasn’t and seemed to enjoy milking the leaks for every click way too much.
I’ve seen several of comments, regarding Drudge’s ‘left turn’/anti-Trump (my words), but this was actually the first thread that I had seen posted.
I tried FR and Google search, and this was the only thread I could find with this article posted, about it.
Again, if you have the links, please post. I may have somehow missed the other threads.

Ya said yourself, "news is news". Was Drudge not supposed to report the news?? You said it yourself slick. Why would Trump owe Drudge when all Drudge did was do his job and report the news?

I don’t believe Drudge is at odds with Trump. I think it completely ridiculous to think that Drudge is some kind of jaded gay rights activist.
I would not at all be surprised if he and Coulter are engaging in some kind of crazy disinformation two-step. Basically pretending to be fed up with Trump... That could give a false sense of security for the ENEMEDIA. If they think conservatives are fragmenting, and souring on Trump, they rest easy... and thats when you move in for the KILL, right?
That all said, I have a question for all the Drudge experts here:
Does anyone know why Drudge occasionally goes back and white with his imagery? He’s doing it today and it’s always puzzling.. never can figure out why he does this... but I KNOW it means something!
