"So now let's get back to the globalist/interventionist sh!t after all."
--- President George W. Trump
Selective outrage
Is this in response to the missile strike? I agree, not good. Have they even confirmed the Russians bombing a rebel base caused it? Sounds very plausible. Just damn.
What does that have to do with this? Fallacy BS arguments bore the crap out of me.
I am about sick of the pussiness (not you AC) that I am reading in this forum. Nikki Haley made the case, and got me fired up. God bless America and its resolve.
Absolutely!
I didn’t say I approved. I said it was in keeping with Trump’s campaign rhetoric. I think it’s a bad idea on a bunch of levels, but one thing it does show that Trump isn’t afraid to make a decision. This certainly doesn’t make him look weak internationally.
Yep, astonishing. No President is going to do exactly what you want all the time.
Using chemical weapons is against international law. Obama talked about a “red line” and did NOTHING. Assad uses chemical weapons and we destroy part of his air force. I don’t think he’ll assume he can dismiss this POTUS.
It also sends a message to North Korea. I’m, frankly, shocked at the weak knees of many here. Under Obama, our friends didn’t trust us and our enemies didn’t fear us. THIS is exactly the opposite. We didn’t put boots on the ground. This was a warning, exactly what should have been done.
No offense, but you are proof that government propaganda efforts always work.
I never said he was ousted ..I said if he was ousted , i’m done ..we will know the neo-cons have won ... even Bill Kristol is warming to Trump at this point - check Kristol’s twitter if you don’t believe me ...none of this is good
Many folks are tired of us playing the role of world-cop.
I can understand that viewpoint.
If a player does use gas on his people and we’re in a position to do something about it, perhaps we should.
How does Trump polish off his credentials early on? Is this a message to global players putting them on notice that the bungling fool Obama is no longer?
I know some folks will say, “But this is Obama policy.”
No, we’re not arming and funding terrorist groups. He was. We’re not attacking Syria for no reason either. If Assad did use gas on his people, that’s reason enough to put him on notice.
This needs to play out more. We’ll learn more. I think we should be patient. That doesn’t mean, be a door-mat, but we have to give Trump time to clarify what intel he had and why he took the measures he did.
We may not like it, but he may be right here.
I don’t want us in Syria, but this isn’t a full scale invasion either. It’s a measured strike.
I don’t trust the intel community one bit.
We’ll see how bad a mistake this is.
One good thing is that McTurd is so happy now maybe he’ll dance himself into a heart attack.
I will give you this , you might be on to something in your post 209 .. read this ...excellent insight into Trump’s thinking for the past year ...I still don’t like what’s happening in Syria though

Mistakes are a given, but, this was a preventable one in my opinion....and I fear it will have consequences we have not account for...No more wars with U.S. involvement in Mid-East unless it is to protect Israel and creditable US interests like our bases and fellow U.S. citizen in the area...otherwise get out of the Mid-East....Trump better win with his first pick for SCOTUS, I like Gorsuch and hope he’s the one to replace Scalia!
Refreshingly intelligent post.
You are missing the big picture.
Russians, Chinese et al. Aren’t vying for control of South America. These powers and US are in the Middle East. They aren’t being killed by WMDs. Just as dead, but the nerve gas crosses a line.
Coordinating with our allies? Seriously? Do you want a strong US independent of the EU and the UN of not? You can’t have both. I’m done talking to those whiners. Yes, of course the US does stuff like this because we are the biggest MFers there are. This action reminded the world of that fact after 8 years of pussy led beta males.
We have troops there. Marines and US Rangers, so boots on the ground already passed.
We can’t ignore the Middle East and hope the problem will sort itself out. It’s naive and childish to think we can. We have to remind everyone we have power and will use it.
Those on the ground are Marines, and my oldest boy is a Marine, so I have a little more vested interest in this.
If the Syrian people all end up gassed, there will be a receipt from the CIAAFES surplus store down there somewhere.
Who told you that? The same dumbf*cks that thought taking out Khadafy was warranted? Or the same ones who told us Saddam had stockpiles of wmd, shown so definitively during Powell’s UN presentation? Or the ones that were planning this very type of incident in 2013, which Wikileaks revealed?
You are right, certainly not our first rodeo.
>> Based on NO FACTS!! Trump attacks
I’m also doubtful Assad would use chemical weapons as alleged. But the situation does invite some target practice against an airfield.
The MSM sold the story. Let’s wait and see how things turn out.
so we’re on a large playground and one of the parents doesn’t spank his bad child. That’s ok, we got that for yeah. If and when Assad leaves we’ll all be bitchin about his replacements, some form of Isis for Muslim Brotherhood, praise allah!
Good Grief. How do you survive being so stupid?
