NEW YORK ― Politico acknowledged Sunday that it was a mistake for one of its top reporters to send the Democratic National Committee an advance copy of an article while emphasizing there were no substantive changes made to the piece prior to publication.
A May 2 article by Politicos Ken Vogel and Isaac Arnsdorf ― Clinton fundraising leaves little for state parties ― has come under scrutiny since WikiLeaks published over 19,000 internal DNC emails on Friday.
In an April 29 email thread, DNC national press secretary Mark Paustenbach shared Vogels detailed questions with others working to coordinate a response to what would be an unflattering story about fundraising efforts. Paustenbach also spoke to the Clinton campaign that day in preparing the DNCs pushback, according to the emails.
On April 30, Paustenbach told DNC Communications Director Luis Miranda that hed received the story in advance. Vogel gave me his story ahead of time/before it goes to his editors as long as I didnt share it, he wrote. Let me know if you see anything thats missing and Ill push back.

They got caught once. They do it all the time.
Ken Vogel and Isaac Arnsdorf are no doubt still gainfully employeed by Political making the apology null and void. Now there is a shocker.
Everyone is scrambling trying to figure out what Wiki has. It has to be mayhem behind the scenes.
The rumor about a pundit using the N word about the voters is interesting. Brazile has just shown the talking point. Hacked emails have been altered.LOL
Sending the article was extremely careless, but there was no criminal intent.
I guess admitting to a crime is the new free get out of jail card.
Why not? Politico is an arm of the DNC.
True dat.
Polutico/Leftico. Lying once again. Almost every single one of those people comes from the ComPost, or used to anyway.
That’s a “mistake” that journalists don’t make.
“Getting caught” is a mistake that political advocates posing as journalists make.
Sounds like Politico is admitting they hire political advocates and the only concern is getting caught.

Oh sure, we sent DNC a copy of the article before publishing it, and that was a terrible, horrible mistake, but we didn’t change any part of the article because of that, nosirree, we’d NEVER do that. WE DINDU NUFFIN, WE GOOD BOYS, TRYIN’ TO GET OUR LIVES TOGETHER, GOING TA SCHOOL AND CHURCH AND SPREADING THE LOVING WORD OF OUR LORD AND MASTER LUCIFER...
Gee, ya think?
I’m sure he gave the RNC equal rights as the DNC, letting them also preview his articles. Right?
“No substantive changes”... Well, how about showing what changes were made.
Journalist, saints all... In a pigs eye.
The next drop. Exactly! It’s likely to show more than one instance. They will need a whole new set of lies to cover this.
I am a trump fan. But I must say. This is all being done so cleverly. Anybody else Trump ‘ s signature?
Liberals make “mistakes” all of the time. No big deal. They are just “sloppy, sloppy, sloppy”.
“Head’s Up! Here comes some bad stuff you should get ready for. Thought you ought to know. Hope it doesn’t interfere with my appointment in your Administration!”
What bothers me is this: W’eve known this stuff has been going on for over 30 years. Are Americans so stupid they can’t see the collusion between liberal democrats and the “mainstream” media? It’s right in front of your face, everyday!
