More and more it seems a real possibility that Mittens might get into the race.
Rubio is a little shaky and The Establishment is getting a little desperate.
How would you react? If you encountered a neighbor you really liked, what would you say about this?
Would you vote for another Republican again..?
The Republican Party, like all political parties, is a private club. They can do whatever they want.
SSDD
Romney’s talk of getting in is because
the backstabbing RAT, Willard,
is nothing but a spoiler for Obama
and he can steal more money.
More likely: Willard the RAT is a coward and will not.
Yeah, this just about covers it.
If the GOPestablishment does finagle to give the nomination to Romney, he will go down in history as ...
the guy who got beat by McCain in 2008,
the guy who got beat by Obama in 2012,
and the guy who got beat by Hillary Clinton [or whichever Dem] in 2016.
Everyone would write in TRUMP
TRUMP
What? You’re not a Rubio guy?
My understanding is that the first deadlines haven’t passed YET, but will in a couple weeks.
I forget which radio program I heard it on but the states with the nearest deadlines are South Carolina and Texas. Any Independent candidate must have the required number of signatures turned in the week after Super Tuesday for them.
Then, several other states have deadlines in the week after that. All told, any Independent candidate would have to have a total of 495,000 signatures (or something close) within several weeks after Super Tuesday.
Well nigh impossible to get it all done in time to make it on the ballots in all the early states. Especially with no infrastructure.
Baloney.
We’ve a whole slate of participants, one doing very well and two making a respectable showing.
No reason to think it will all go to a guy who isn’t even in the race and blew it when he was.
Mittens to challenge Trump? Just the thought process if the GOPe contemplating Mitt entering the race is further proof of how out of synch the Party is, and demonstrates that Trump is a symptom, not an illness. The party establishment has stepped through the looking glass.
How would I feel? The last time he ran, I was just queasy. If he runs again, I’m afraid it would be projectile vomiting.
Romney’s OWN SON said, after Romney lost, that HE DIDN’T WANT TO BE PRESIDENT ANYWAY.
Done. Go home. Go bet someone another $5000. Just stay away.
Why is it that some people just can’t “read the handwriting on the wall”?
We (DH & I) are voting third party on every race downticket or leaving it blank if there is no third party candidate. Period.
We’ll have to see what’s going to happen with Trump & cross that bridge when we come to it.
It is WAY PAST time to throw these traitors out of Washington DC. Statehouses, too. It’s just too bad our men have lost their taste for tar & feathers or lamp posts & rope, as the situation warrants. (imho)
All of FR would stay home again.
Yeah, but FR is only a drop in the conservative bucket.
I think that the “plan” is that if Trump cleans up on Super Tuesday, Romney would jump in as an Independent to be the spoiler.
Then, the Republican Party would give money and support to Romney and starve out Trump. Even though Trump is the Republican candidate, the party would support the Independent (Romney).
But, where would Romney find the labor to go out and solicit the signatures?
DRUDGE has it up that Romney WILL get in, if Rubio fails.
It’s an EMPTY THREAT.
There is nothing here but noise, or else there is totalitarianism. We are not there, yet.
How dare they even believe we can be intimidated like this, and Michael Hayden, the puss, saying the military would not follow TRUMP. HA!
The military thanks GOD for him.
The old saying about denial and some river, I thing.
Why? After the 2012 election, his son said he didn't really want to be president--which could explain why he appeared to take a dive during his final two debates.
Three time loser is what he apparently wants to be.
he tried once already ... and failed.
America doesn’t like losers. sore losers especially
