Cruz is NOT ESTABLISHMENT. They hate him worse than Donald!!. Letâs make Trump #1 and Cruz # 2 !! We have the votes to do it.

The key is to rotate the 2nd spot to keep the vote splitting. Once GOPe consolidates, Cruz and Trump will have to make some kind of deal. Together they win, divided they fall. Its that simple.
And it is not my issue. I am already old and independently set for life financially. The issue is the vast hard working middle American class. If you bother to study the statistics, incomes are stagnant, middle class wage level jobs are scarce.

My husband and I are in a similar position. I alternate my time praying for a Trump presidency and looking for a 2nd country to pick up a home and possible permanent residence if needed.
The younger generation, my kids and nieces and nephews are facing a very different world than we did. I see young families truly struggling, my company kept many young families afloat during the downturn, but I will not forget how much these people are struggling. The avg family has less than $500 in their checking account. Scary times.
An ugly scrum, and anyone not in the top 4 needs to gtfo...
Correct.
I think you'll get your wish and I won't get mine (that everyone past the top 4 in NH gtfo). Jebbers has enough money to make Super Tuesday his last stand, and Robot/Romney II isn't going anywhere - Singer, Braman and Ellison will match that. The day after Super Tuesday we will know the nominee.
Kasich would be most problematic for GOPe. He would prevent consolidation ... he’d be getting the votes and Bush would have the money.
5 candidates will compete going forward. Not three. See March 1 schedule. Bush is stronger than you think down south.
Mass VT ND MN ... wide open.
of course, you know this is all non-sense. Trump will sweep this month. None of the others are strong enough to win states. Only delegates. Trump is the next president.
You are right...
Excellent post.
I feel the same way about the Donald.
jeb in 2nd....hahahaha, now that's a crock hahahaha
The only real threat of a moderate nominee is for Rubio to mop up Bush, Kasich and Christie early. If 2, 3, or 4 of them are in play than essentially every state will be a plurality for Trump or Cruz. That creates huge momentum and soon will also provide all the delegates in the winner-takes-all state.
The math is hugely in Trump’s favor vs Cruz. He’ll hold his own versus Cruz in Republican and swing states and will easily win Democratic-leaning states (which have a modest delegate penalty, but still provide a huge amount of delegates).
I think it’s possible because of how tight the second tier is. Anyone of five candidates could be 2. The question is is it a strong 2,’or a distant 2 with 3,4 and 5 all within a point or two. No matter what, unless Jeb is buried in NH they will spin it as a “win” and his campaign is resurrected and off to the races. SC is their “firewall”. Kasich won’t go any further than NH as the next several states are hostile territory. Rubio will be close and Cruz will do better in the south. It depends on how much momentum, if any, Trump gets if he wins NH. When the expectations are so high (see Iowa) no matter how well he does, it’s not good enough. He is a first time politician never have running a campaign, in unfriendly territory for an east coaster, and he placed a respectable second and has one less delegate than the first place guy who had “home field” advantage, and it was viewed as a “loss”.
CNN said last night that if Trump didn’t win by at least 10% then it would be considered a loss. That’s the latest talking point.
Yup, that was exactly John Sununu's talking point; only Sununu raised the bar to +12%. Sununu is, of course, a Baby Hitler Killer supporter.
Exactly. Double edge sword...confidence and bravado are good, but the expectations are therefore so high.
So, if Jeb finishes 5th, will he quit? Not a chance.
...however I firmly believe Cruz is establishment and I want to see him at 0%.
*********************************
So how does that belief of yours explain why so many of the hard-core GOPee establishment types do not support Cruz?
He’s the most Conservative candidate in the race and that has hurt him among all the moderate Republicans who like to cave in to the Dems.
But RushRINO proclaims Roboto is a “full throated conservative” - can’t be more conservative than that!
