Barbara Boxer: 'The Benghazi Scandal' 'Starts With Republicans' Who Cut Funding For Embassy Security

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) said that Republicans in Congress should look into a mirror when asking why the attack on an American consulate in Benghazi was as deadly as it was. She said that House Republicans who voted to cut security funding for overseas embassies are directly responsible for the lack of security personnel at that outpost. Boxer's claim is contradicted by testimony delivered before a Congressional Oversight Committee hearing last week.

Boxer exonerated former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday for any responsibility relating to the Benghazi attack, saying that it she testified before Congress in good faith and took full responsibility for what occurred under her watch.

So, with a $47 billion dollar operational account and an additional $8.7 billion dollars for Overseas Contingency Operations Hillary spends $200k on security giving the contract to some unknown British contrator who hired the local 17th of February Martyrs Brigade. The ones who photographed the consulate hours before the attack and ran like rabbits when the attack came.

In addition to that Hillary rejected keeping the DoD provided security which doesn't come out of the State Dept. budget. It's DoD.

I quiet literally mean it when I say Boxer should be publicly horsewhipped for promoting this lie.

No amount of money in the hands of a democrat could make any embassy a safe environment. Any additional funding that was required was probably dwarfed by waste and fraud.

Actually, it now appears that BHO never issued the Cross Border Authority necessary for our forces to provide assistance. With no CBA received, our military units were unable to cross into the country legally and were eventually RTB.
