What a misleading title. And the hypotheses it jumps to is one more reason why in 100 years people will think these were the psychological dark ages.

These will also be looked at as the dark ages for pain management.

Folks dealing with this have my deepest sympathy. Where do you think the best improvements can be made? One of my good buddies is in this situation where he is able to have access to strong medication but has to be tested frequently to ensure his liver and other organs are completely poisoned by them.
Man, any lead to help would be a blessing.
Aren’t completely poisoned...sigh - coffee just don’t work the way it did before I got this old.
